Like Sisyphus, even though we know we are predetermined to never reach the top we will collectively keep pushing that boulder up the hill every season. During seasons like this it's hard to explain why. It's just what we do. Cyclone football fandom is our eternal damnation.

Who's excited for senior day!! Go Clones!

I hesitate to chime in with all the criticisms of how people deal with it.

First off, my financial support is unwavering so no issue there.

I guess I care TOO much and it's not healthy for me to lie awake at night wishing this play or that one had gone differently. Or wondering if this call was bad or that ONE player messed it up... or if ISU will ever win again.

I've had two stretches of season tickets and liked going to the games in person. And dealt with it regardless of the outcome. Because of life situations both times, I had to drop them.

My current modus operandi is to try to be busy during games and not tune in. Check the score afterwards or near the end. If we're comfortably ahead I might tune in. Might not. If ISU wins I will check CF and enjoy the good vibes. Maybe watch the game on repeat or at least the highlights.

If not a win, avoid CF for at least 24 hours.

It works for me. I just know if I'm watching I get too emotionally involved in a game and it affects me negatively, so I've learned to cope in this way.

The success of the team the last few years has definitely made it more difficult to think about 'going backwards' as a college football identity just when we had a real positive vibe, even nationally.

Make a few adjustments to the staff on the offensive side, keep most(if not all obviously)the defensive staff together, 2023 Big12 Championship game here we come.

New OC, OL coach, QB coach, and either RB or WR… Nate is great and really the only one I’d call safe, but he shouldn’t be the RB coach, WR coach, and running game coordinator.

I’d prefer to let Manning go, but if he gets one more year with an overhaul of most the other assistants then so be it. But I’d say let him go. Maybe we get lucky and he takes a HC job down a level.. I’m pretty sure he interviewed for Kansas last year.

We are not worthy. I need to go back to school. My Greek mythology knowledge is wanting.

He gave a solution and it’s really not a bad one. Do something else and don’t let it affect you. Not a bad idea when a season is not only in the toilet but we have lost every single game by multiple self indicted wounds. Like junior varsity like mistakes.
Well it is a bad solution imo. If more and more take that stance our relevance diminishes more than W/L do. One of the things that attracts bowls and recruits are fan support. That's not fans that support just winning. Just my take.
