Conversate for a few, cuz in a few we gon do.......wait what?

You're my favorite poster of the day! <3

There was a day a couple of months ago when I made two new friends in the same day based off of Biggie-related interactions. Best day ever.

Am I the only one who read the last word in this sentence wrong and got mildly aroused?

haha - I guess the sentence didn't preclude any alternate ways I amuse myself!

I'm not sure I have a single place to get that "one most favorite meal" in central Iowa. So, I'll cheat a little and rattle off where my favorite things are .

*The (hot) Bobbie sandwich from Caprioti's: it's literally thanksgiving on a hoagie bun.
*Pumpkin bread pudding from Dublin Bay: it's only seasonal, but worth waiting for.
*Complimentary salsa from Chevy's, made in-house: I could eat it with a fork.
*Any meal (breakfast or dinner) served at Monell's in Nashville: southern cooking served family style, homemade fresh. Literally nothing is bad there (even the stuff you wouldn't normally eat).

Have you tried the Kobe beef at Misty's? It is on my to do list.

Is it real Kobe beef? There are a lot of fakers out there. The vast majority of the stuff sold in America a "Kobe beef" isn't at all. The word isn't regulated. A restaurant can slap a "Kobe" label on a piece of shoe leather, and sell it for $100, if they want.

Fun read about Kobe beef here. I think until fairly recently you couldn't even legally import Kobe beef into the US. But places have been selling it for years.
This guy has done a several articles about Kobe and Wagyu sales in the US over the years now.

Smoked Chicken and Black Bean Nachos at Skips (Fleur Dr). They’ll add lettuce and jalapeño upon request. That and two big beers made for an elegant night out in college when back in DSM.

This is true for many things. Hamburger only needs 10% beef to be called that. The meat better be something similar or the restaurant would lose credibility.

Yeah, it's a big scam for the most part. Very, very few restaurants actually have kobe beef. We're talking maybe 20 in the whole country. But anybody can slap the name on anything. Now, what they call Kobe may actually be a very high quality piece of meat, but the chances of it being the real thing are very low.

If strictly Minneapolis, probably Nico’s Taco and Tequila Bar. If I can expand that to the Twin Cities, the Goong Op Woon Sen at On’s Kitchen Thai would rival it.
