What else was the State Gaming and License Board supposed to do? they're banned from from issuing any new Gamming licenses for another year yet. What else do they have to do when groups aren't lobbying them for licenses. Can we blame the state reps for the ban leaving the Board with ample time to look into this?

I agree. Huggins too. Completely idiotic that head coaches of major university teams, who should know better and be held to higher standard than a young athlete they are in charge of, get minor penalties (meaningless 1/10 of one season suspensions of a career that span a total of 60 years - 19 for Self, 41 for Huggins) for major infractions while these athletes could face 1/2 to a full year of suspension of careers that span 4 years for minor infractions. Total BS.

Kansas hoops blatantly cheats for 20 years - ncaa snoozes. Iowa baseball player makes bet on nba playoffs: full on throw the book at school sweep. Sounds like the ncaa I’ve come to know and love.

Fairly positive they are but not sure. I had to sign something as a football student manager so I’m assuming they did too

I don't know I@ST1 from Adam but if you go back to the "Iowa universities betting scandal" thread, it was originally only about the UofI baseball players. Six posts in and a full two days before Iowa State announced anything about our students being involved he dropped this gem. He seems to have some inside info...

He could be accurate. Just feels like the QB would be the obvious first rumor to fly.

I don't know if there's any truth to the rumblings/theories about some of issues being related to underage gambling mentioned in other threads, but Dekkers turned 21 last July if the violations are somewhat more recent.

I was a student intern in the athletic department in college and wasn't allowed to even do fantasy football or an NCAA bracket pool if money was involved.
