Gameday Thread--ISU vs. Texas

I think the NIT is within our reach. Every team in the north, including KU, is vulnerable. If we can steal a couple wins from the south we should be in good shape for a NIT bid.

Gilstrap, Gilstrap, Gilstrap.....We need the offensive threat at the 3 position and Lucca is about all we have and he is more perimeter (he looked quicker today but some bad decisions with the ball).

Give it up already. The officiating wasn't that bad. ISU lost because they got manhandled in the post and on the offensive boards.

I'd say the officiating was bad, but it was bad both ways, so I don't call it an excuse.

I think you've got it on the post problem, and I would add the need to finish. We missed enough layups to win this game right there.

There were a few things in this game that really annoyed me but overall, GREAT game.

I totally agree. We could've won this game and it is almost un-arguably the hardest game we have on our schedule. After this game I think we have a legit shot at any game on our schedule.

If we didn't settle for c##ppy 3's in the first half and garrett makes some of his bunny shots we would've won that game. Loss sucks but I think we played one of our better games this season, which is promising.

You never like to loose, but I'm damn proud of the effort the Cyclones put on the floor today.

We could have easily lost by 15 - 20 points, easy, but our team played great D, did better than I expected rebounding and almost showed offensive consistency.

I'm sure after the game Rick Barnes whispered to Greg that we gave them more than they expected.

We'll upset a few teams this year I suspect and maybe even get a road win or two.

After tonights game i see us winning 8 games in conference this year

2-15

MacD Big 12 Road Record.

Anybody have some Cherry flavored Kool-Aid?

Eh, I'm about as far from a McDermott fan as you can get, but he didn't lose this game. We didn't hit our shots and we fell asleep on defense more times than you can afford.

The defensive gameplan was exactly what needed to happen.

Are you kidding? Without Garrett we lose this game by 20. Get a clue.

exactly, who would bring the ball up the court if DG wasn't here? Petey = :biglaugh:

ISU had their chances today, too bad that CB only showed up for 20 minutes of basketball

Well said. Great effort gentlemen.

Easy, tiger. This team won't play this well all the time. Expect inconsistency. We will lay an egg in a game we should win somewhere down the line, and also beat someone we shouldn't beat.

8 wins would be great, but I don't think it's happening.
