Enthusiastic fans shouldn't have a problem with coordination...and the "striped" cardinal and gold sections of students is not asking much at all.

I think the key to creating a coordinated prop in the student section, and having it turn out well, is to inform everyone about it a few days early (like right now) so they know what to expect. Also, it has to be a really great idea. Do a quick photoshop image of whatever the prop is and how the student section looks, that will really win people over.

I like the simple idea of giving everyone in the lower level a pre-printed/pre-assigned sign that they could hold up in unison with the whole section to create a larger picture. It takes a little bit of coordination, aren't we all smart enough to get it? CA coordinators could hold their sign up to get everyone to...just an idea.

Of course everyone is smart enough to get that...that's why everyone is at ISU and not EIU.:biggrin9gp:

Right now, the main way to get ahold of students in CA is through e-mails, but not everyone reads the e-mails and then they would come to the game and be like, "Huh?" It's kind of like the saying that a person can be brilliant, but a large group of people can be not quite so (like a herd of sheep). Not saying that our student section is dumb, but I'm just saying it's hard to get a large group of people to do something well without any prior practice. You could say "Well why don't you practice?", but it's hard get the amount of people needed there to get it done. Not saying that these things are impossible, just harder to organize than you think.

I do like the idea of the signs to flip and create images. That would be easier to accomplish and have an awesome effect. :yes4lo:

I vote for this idea. Clever and cheap. Any ideas on a picture?

Granted, but e-mail can be the problem with any large group, until things catch on. With that way you'd have to cover some bases by printing out a couple posters and placing them at the entrances, and also getting the word out with the "Alley Rally" that is pre-printed and placed on students' seats. I think, personally, people would get behind and help the coordination better if it is a really good idea and they are psyched about it. Something tells me that once people see a whole mass section creating a single picture and how cool that looks more people will jump on the bandwagon.
