I think the funny part is that people are surprised by this. They did the same **** two years ago and you knew they were doing to do it today. They'll go play middle southwest Missouri central lakes college tech next week and lose but when they play the Cyclones they have a player that will make the announcer go "This is a part of his game he's never shown and has a career high in all stats". It's just how they play.

lol You mad bro. UNI is a good team and will have a good chance at an at large bid. step away from the ledge.

At tip the Clones where -8, as "you knew they (UNI) were going to do it today", I congratulate you on your newly won riches!

Actually there's a decent chance UNI plays their third top 5 team (Oklahoma) this week.

How many thought we'd get dominated at point guard?

Even that up a little and we win by 20+, the rest of the match-up isn't close.

We played our first game without a starter, a shooter, a difference maker. Team will adjust to a new lineup.

UNI is pasty soft in the paint, if teams figure that out they'll be a .500 team. We didnt, so kudos to them for the win.

No we figured it out. Nader, Niang and McKay combined for 62 points, virtually all of that was in the paint.

The problem was it was a mismatch in the backcourt so their 3's countered our dunks and layups.

I'm actually not very mad. I has more mad at halftime against Iowa. Chris predicted it and it was easy to see that every time they play us they play out of their minds. 6-2 against us over the last 8. Unlike some people I'm not jumping over the ledge and am looking forward to the next game because this game has no indication how the rest of the year is going to go.

Bottom line, it's a really bad loss. UNI came into Saturday having lost two of their last three games by a combined 34 points to Richmond and New Mexico.

I'm not sure how you can classify it as a "really bad loss". UNI will likely have a Top 50 RPI at seasons end and already has a victory over UNC (even without Paige UNC is still a Top 15 team). Richmond and New Mexico will also be in the NCAA Tournament at the end of the year.

As well as a victory over ISU without Long.

And OU will probably beat them by 15+ points. UNI won't get as hyped to play OU as they did against ISU. And OU is better than ISU too.

Yep, OU will show us how it's done.

Like Carolina did?

Iowa State will be just fine. Going to win 25 games, finish towards the top of the Big 12 and get a 3ish seed in the tournament.

Last night was played at an exceptionally high level and UNIs shooting just happened to be the difference. I think Iowa State bounces back and handles Cincinnati fairly easily. Cinci doesn't shoot particularly well and driving the ball at McKay and Burton all night won't exactly go well.

You can hang your hat all you want on that UNC win, but it's not as impressive as you fans make it out to be. Home floor and they didn't have their star player in November. Woopty doo. Texas beating them with Paige was more impressive. It really remains to be seen whether UNC is really top 10 material anyways. They have the talent, but that hasn't gotten it done for them in the past.

UNI finishing with a top 50 RPI would be a huge achievement. That's probably 16-2 at minimum in the MVC.

Careful - Iowa fans are the tops at the arrogant-but-lame thing. You'll want to leave that to them.[/QUOTE

Being coached in humility by a Division ll team..... quite telling actually.
I'm listening, hope our boys are too.

OK, to placate you I'll call it a mildly bad loss.
Maybe Richmond or NM will see the dance, but not both...and they smoked UNI.
For our sake, I hope you continue shooting 60% from the arch!
