Dunn was awesome when he was asked to just straight punt the ball. When they had him Rugby punt he'd shank them. It seemed like his punts in a game were like 60, 45, 50, and then a 5 yard rugby shank. I blame the coaching

Overall he was average at best. Maybe it is coaching or maybe it is just putting too much pressure on the new guy, but he had some horrifying punts last year. He probably had 3 of the worst punts over the last decade in 2018. Hopefully, whatever was going on in the Iowa game will never happen again. Dunn might turn out fine for ISU, but awesome is pretty far from what we saw last year.

He also had some really good punts. That one against WVU was a bomb! He just needs to be consistent.

I'll never forget that thread where people were making fun of how he looks and then he starts posting in that thread. Felt a little bad for him but it was funny and he didn't seem to be bothered by it.

Again, not cheering for the kid to fail, would love for him to be All Big 12, but as some else pointed out he had the second worse average in the conference last year. Just needs to be more consistent and eliminate the shanks.

He is a really good kid with that great Aussie sense of humor. I still look for him to be a revolutionary punter. He has more than a dozen different punts. But just needs to start with the basics and consistency.

Hey, if only someone reasonably good at math (unlike me) would calculate what his average was without the shanks.

I’ll be pleasantly surprised if we land Wheeler....Pettway however I think we have a real good shot at him and he would be a very nice addition.

I’m not sure that still adding a grad transfer after Spring practice bodes well for some of the returnees...unless it means that we have a really, really dynamic, explosive offense this fall.

Another adjustment to my Cyclone mindset that CMC may force me to make.

Please?

IMO, this is the biggest, and best, difference between Campbell and Rhoads.

Rhoads always seemed worried that guys would transfer if he recruited over them, but Campbell's philosophy is that he's going to bring in the best talent he can find, and if you want to see the field you're just going to have to up your game, or I guess you'll have to leave if you don't want to compete.

Rhoads just simply didn’t recruit players that had other power 5 teams recruiting them. As soon as other power 5s started offering players he was recruiting, he gave up because he didn’t think they would come to Ames. That’s why it took 5 years to get a player drafted and why his teams were so bad.
