I think maybe ten minutes a game right away, I expect almost nothing. Dude hasn't played in a year and a half and Freddy hasn't coached a guy like this either. Plus, there isn't an obvious spot for him right now.

He will be really good but people need to dial it back, I think Seth is prob right.

Umm the 5 spot that only Edozie truly plays right now?

Monte, BDJ, Hogue, Niang and McKay are an incredibly versatile 1-5.

With McKay or Edozie playing the 5 it pushes Hogue to the 3, where he should be, allowing him to be his old self like he was against Iowa.

This is exactly right. And Fred will have the lineup versatility to switch this up depending on matchups, foul trouble, etc.!!!!

You're correct. Greenberg evidently believes that a guy has to be able to shoot the three to play in Fred's system. That's not true. Shooting the three helps, but it's not a make or break for being able to score effectively.
All Greenburg ever says about ISU is how Niang pulls the other teams big guy away from the basket. He thinks he has solved the Hoiball theory.

only thing this irrelevant tweet is going to do is motivate Showtime himself... as for I? I am not worried about Showtime, will give him 4-5 games before I draw any conclusions on him, just as I did for Nader.

I feel like this is the first time Hoiberg has had a complete basketball team. He has the stud all around PG with Monte. He has a sharpshooting and nice overall game off guard with Naz (10x better than last year). He has a super athletic wing with Hogue who has size and can rebound and finish at the rim. Georges is Georges. McKay will be a poster waiting to happen, and guard the rim and bring excitement. Nader off the bench kind of reminds me of Royce in an odd way. BDJ of course just seems like an NBA SG in the college game who is better than everyone else and knows it. Matt is an offensive specialist who will have some big time games this year. The guys on this team play with some swagger, and they know that they could run just about any team out of the gym

I've been working and haven't had time to dig deep into the subject... Why did monte and Jameel tweet at cyclonefanatic and tell them to chill out?

4/5 coming...

Fred actually has a program, teams, and individual players that get better over time, too.

Gawd, **** you, McD. All three got worse over time with you around.

Kids these days don't know what they have compared to my time in Ames from 2005 to 2010.
