Has Paul Rhoads run out of gas? Is this the year we lay an egg?

I do enjoy how CycloneML didn't get enough attention so he had to post the video in two threads, well technically three before it was merged into this one.

Oh and you are a fool.

Symptoms:

-Recruiting is slow

-He was totally hedging in the Register interview a couple of weeks ago

Bumps in the road would be normal at this point. It happened to McCarney after a great season. It happened to Alvarez after a Rose Bowl season. Just when you think the program is about to take the next step, it regresses.

CPR is just warming up. If the team plays as one (chemistry is good) it'll be very interesting even with the eigth toughest schedule this year. As far as recruiting goes, not to worry as you can see the guys commiting are solid 3 *'s accept the "no star" and we can count on CPR great judgement, just as CW ! Relax, grab beer and re-watch the Oky St. Gm from last year. Take Care - Fonz4Cy

I think not having Hicks on the line will definitely help with the false starts this year. That guy was far too emotional and got too wrapped up in his own head. You practice all week, it's a simple snap count, follow it.

I'll take the false starts any day when you consider how well he was able to run block for us. We're going to miss him this season when we struggle to run.

I like how the bowl game, that we made it to, is somehow proof of a letdown. Heck, Rutgers finished with 9 wins, which would be tied for the most wins in one season at ISU ever . Rhoads has been to 2 bowls in 3 years. All the other ISU coaches prior to Rhoads have managed to go to 8 bowls in 90+ years. I know the bowl loss was a bummer but 1.) We made it to one 2.) we lost to a pretty good team

3) We were playing a team in their own backyard in the greatest city in the world (which most of our players had never even seen).

Agree!
I think the loss to Rutgers fogs over what an accomplishment even making a bowl game was for ISU. No fair-minded person expected us to be bowl eligible last year. We had an absolute beast of a schedule. And somehow we got those 6 wins. It was a real nice season. Just too bad it ended on a down note.

I can confirm he was out of gas. He was at the fueling station recently but is fully fueled now!

Please. Could some Cyclone drop a house on this Munchkin and send him back to the land of Oz (Kansas)?

Stormin, you better get to bed if you are going to be up posting at 2:30 am. Lets celebrate better days:

These are the type of wins that CPR brings. And yet you start this idiotic thread that he is "out of gas". CPR is not offering these kids early and getting verbals just because they are a warm body. Mac's last year we were into November and things were going badly on the recruiting front. We had very few verbals and very little interest in ISU. Your negativity is getting quite old. Go back to Munchkin Land.
