And just FYI that the terms of each scholarship determine what it may be used for.
Again, I am not suggesting the scholarship funds go to something else, just that it might free up some of her own funds for something else. I know scholarship funds are not just free money that can be used for just anything.

Sorry, didn’t mean to imply anything like that. I wish scholarships could be “anything” money. Guess that’s why there are grandparents :)

I don't see a problem with it. She wont be happy but she's smart and will understand the financial issue with the insurance rate increase.

Not exactly sure.
I needed the tax statement from ISU and the daughter said she couldn’t get into her account. She called and then told me she got an “award”’from ISU also for $1,500. I want to see this “award” reasoning. I paid 100% and both kids took the Covid kickback that was given so I am taking this if this isn’t a true award.

I really dislike our dog. It’s small enough I may be able to drop kick it to the neighbors fenced in yard.
My brother has always referred to dogs around football sized or smaller as "kicking dogs." To be fair I have never actually seen him kick a dog of any size unless it is attacking a person or another animal.

I have the luxury of laughter since all mine are independent for the last 20-25 years!
I know I’m more lax than most when it comes to helping. My thoughts are, help them at the beginning more and maybe they won’t need help later. Letting them inherit it, I never get to see them enjoy it and if I live to 80, they will be 50 and while it’s nice, they are pretty established already.

Then throw in I figure my wife will probably end up in a care center (99% chance she or lives me) so instead of the nursing home eating that and the kids get squat, they got some of it already.

Ah, home ownership. Walked into the kitchen in stocking feet and got wet feet. Everything under the sink is wet. Cleaned everything up and found it's the pull out extension hose that's leaking near the end. When it's retracted the leak runs along the hose to under the sink.

Good news is I can still use the faucet, just need to pull it out past the leak. Combo of good/bad news is the part for this 25 year old German faucet is available for only $20 or so. Bad part is that suggests I should do it myself. Tight space to work and I am a septuagenarian with bulged discs in my neck. Looked some and it does have this cool push/pull quick connector thingy so no wrenchy wrenchy work under the sink.
