Gotta take Little JM to get some stuff checked out at the UofI Children’s hospital today. My morning interaction:

*puts on script Cyclone CF hoodie*

Mrs JM: Seriously.
Me: What?
Mrs: Is that not a little petty?
Me: nope *puts on Cyclone hat* You know exactly what’s next to that hospital. Would you go to the beach without sunblock?
Thankfully we don't have to go there anymore but I used to do the same thing.

So we enjoy the show Friends and last night an episode we had on was the one where they realize that condoms are not 99% effective. For whatever reason this time I started thinking. Stuff along the lines of "wait designing, testing etc. condoms are actual jobs." Who are these people? What do you put on your resume? What do you tell people that you do?" and the like.

Then I got to thinking what are other jobs that you can't believe are actual jobs and how do those that have them explain them away sort of thing?

Maybe an idea for an off topic Friday @Angie

Mike Rowe's "Dirty Jobs" show opened my eyes to all sorts of employment opportunities that I didn't know existed. I realize some of the show is "for show" but most of what I've seen reminds me how fortunate I am that others do those jobs and not me.

Not exactly sure.
At PT today, this guy walks in with his HS aged daughter. Goes to my kids school. I’m on my stomach so don’t see much. When I get back to sitting up, the dad is gone and I see they are doing cupping on her.

I know their prom is about 2 weeks out. When I got cupped the bruises lasted almost 2 weeks. I thought that was kinda brave so close. Then I wondered what her dress was like and if they could be seen. I know the boy she’s going to prom with…………..pretty well and I’m guessing it won’t bother him.

I have an annual visit over there every July. You'd better believe we BOTH wear protective clothing. Plus, there's one nurse in our unit that loves us because she's a Cyclone also. :D

EIU fans are a special breed of stupid and I with loathe the Hawks with the passion of 10000 suns until the day I die. But I will say, after walking around the top floor of the hospital this AM for the first time, they really did do this right for these sick kids and this place impresses me in about every way every time we come here.

I've found that, if you don't do taxes, very few people understand what accountants do in a company. I've also found that it's hard for me to explain what I do to people.

So, she's working the bar. We met and said hi, but it was super busy. I'm eating with my foreman and his family right now. She'll be here for a while yet.

Well, that girl I hung out with for a few weeks last year came in. And the bar is emptying out. I'm freaking out.
When my daughters visited my FIL in California this winter, this is what they witnessed.

He was sitting at the bar talking to one lady. When she left, another lady walked up to talk to him. She said that she didn't see him at some event that he was going to attend. A third lady ambled up in the meantime and said, "That's because he was with me."

IIRC he's a widower, right? There are a lot more single women in the senior social circles than there are single men. No surprise he has the attention of the ladies. :D

In dollar general and the dude in front me buys a 12er of Busch lights bag of corn chips, and 6 bags of Cheetos. He took them out to his 1989 corvette and rolled off. Dude likes Cheetos.
I don’t know whether or not to find this really disgusting or respect the hell out of it.
