The Star Spangled Banner is for paying respect to our country, not to be screamed at the top of the lungs as an intimidation tactic. I would think there are other avenues that could be explored that would be more appropriate. Get a good video put together and use appropriate lights and music and the already hyped up crowd will take care of the rest.

This is probably the most valid point twocoach has had on this forum. And more substance than your post has.

I think getting the student section to be a little classier by removing "you suck" after introductions would be a way to make Hilton better.

For the record, I dont mind twocoach when it isnt basketball season. Its just the whole Kansas basketball superiority complex thing going on.

Hey, if you think singing the national anthem out loud is going to be what makes Hilton more intimating (pardon me while I laugh hysterically) then roll with it. You have a loud, wild rowdy fan base that's in love with their coach and their team. Lakeliving is right, drawing additional attention to Hoiberg's entrance would rev up the already revved up crowd right before tip off. MNCyGuy is right, adding a fun student tradition to the first basket of the game that is visually eye catching adds to the unique experience at Hilton.

For my suggestion I think we should have a second mascot....CyWolf, which is a TeenWolf rip-off, that comes out and does trampoline dunks and jumps through fire hoops, repels from the rafters on to the court and immediately does a standing backflip, scares opposing fans when they go to the bathroom, etc... Cool stuff like that.
