I'd say 4 wins will be a decent enough start to the career. I was not very impressed with the size of the team as they walked out of the tunnel Saturday. Hopefully they are pretty fast.

Campbell going with the small-ball rotation.

The problem with the schedule is having 3 of the easier games be the first 3 games of the year. Next year's team will be far better by the end of the year than at the begining. That being said I project 4 but wouldn't be surprise with 5 or 6. 4 is a must in my opinion.

4-5 wins with being prepared being a sustainable outcome.

The 'upset special' was exciting and all under CPR, but those came as a surprise only because of how bad ISU had looked in previous weeks.

I think it is more important to be competitive in more games

If ISU doesnt get blown out more than once I'll consider it a decent start

It's more about getting to a bowl in 2017 for me

I thought, when compared to Iowa State's history, we were relatively competitive last season. We left at least two wins out there and that's generous.

If we make one halftime adjustment, it will be an improvement over last season. It was frustrating to watch other games last season and see so many coaches able to switch things up when there was a glaring weakness in strategy.

The talent is there to get 5 wins. That's my expectation.

Personally I think there are teams that are beatable and/or we should be competitive against on our schedule. Obviously the W's below are those games I think we should offer our opponents a legitimate challenge. If we can do that I consider next year a success. If we can rise above the bottom 4 standings of the big 12 I consider next year a major success.

If I'm an odds maker id say O/U 4.5 although I'm guessing vegas will have us at 3.5.
5= good start, imo

I don't know about a specific number. I just don't want to see us losing winnable games with awful decisions or looking completely disinterested in playing football, which we've all seen a little too often over the last 100 years.

That's why I don't really want to put a number on it either. It's tough to say how much talent we really have right now. For example, I think Campbell hasn't really been left a whole lot on the OL to work with this first year.

For me, it's HOW we play more than the W-L record. It's much more frustrating for me to watch games like the Toledo and KSU ones last year where we were the better team and found ways to lose the game mostly due to bad coaching and players that didn't know how to win either. That is MUCH harder to take than watching an undermanned team play with a ton of heart and passion and are fundamentally sound, but just aren't as talented, lose a game.

I think we should expect to be able to beat UNI, San Jose St, and Kansas at a minimum, and then at least compete and not embarrass ourselves in the other ones. I will be shocked if we see any 73-3 scores with Campbell at the helm. I hope we don't see that anymore anyway.

When do we give him a 10 year contract extension? After 1 win?

Rhoads said in his post career speech that ISU would go to a bowl this year. I believe - 6 wins with a bowl victory for 7
