I have a Deebot N79 that I got on sale for $150 before Xmas. I've been pretty pleased with it. It doesn't get stuck very often if you do a good job of keeping things picked up. And it's always a full bin when I empty it. It's amazing how much it picks up. Note, I run it on hardwood/tile only. My only complaint is that we're still lazy and you have to make sure things are picked up/doors are closed before you run it. We have two dogs and my girlfriend is always shedding her winter coat all year it seems. I would recommend it for someone who doesn't have much carpet and can keep things picked up. It's nice to be able to set a schedule on it or start/stop it from my phone, but I don't use that feature that much. Mostly I'll pick things up before we leave the house and then hit the start button while I'm on my way out.

Otherwise we don't do a very good job with keeping floors cleaned regularly. I would say we vacuum monthly with an upright, and sweep the hardwood floors every two weeks. It needs to be a couple times a week on top of running the robot.

We have a Neato Botvac and have been pleased with it. My wife received a chunk of Christmas money from her parents and she wanted to get a robot vac. She researched the crap out of which kind to get and she picked the Neato. Just kids in our house, no pets. Although the girls in my house seem to shed a lot of hair.

-The D-shape lets it clean in corners better.
-We've never had it get stuck; even on the crappy, significant transitions from carpet to tile that the previous homeowner installed.
-We like that the Neato goes in a methodical cleaning pattern versus moving around randomly. The carpet may get cleaner when a robovac goes over a spot more often randomly but a random pattern also means it takes much longer to clean everything and will have more battery charges and replacements
-The Neato model she bought has an app that shows you a map of where the Neato cleaned and also lets you start it using wifi. She started it one night when she was 100 miles away at a family thing that I skipped. I was the only one home. Scared the piss out of me.
-It doesn't require that the lights be on to operate like some robovacs but it is really too noisy to run while we sleep anyway.
-I wish the dirt chamber was just a little bigger.

I will second the Neato Botvac. Their support has been awesome as well. I ordered both of mine from amazon, and they must have been on the shelf a while as the batteries did not last as long as Neato expected, so they sent me new batteries for both without charge. We used to have a Roomba, and the straight lines make the carpet look much better than the randomness of the Roomba, imho. We have both carpet, hardwoods, and tile being vacuumed, and now when we're vacuuming the areas that the robot hits with the upright, we rarely pick up any dirt/hair.

Since the Sterling Archer vacuum scene would be totally inapprops (family values CF and all), I'll just have to go with this.
