If you were a Cubs fan you would know.

I don't understand how you can have all teams that do the same thing to you. It'd be one thing be a fan of a team that always sucks...kinda like being a Cleveland Indian fan in Major League (first 30 mins of movie.) But to be a fan that constantly builds you up to pull the rug, ouch. Dallas has done that to me extremely lately and ISU almost killed me in '04 and '05. At least I know the Cardinals won't go long as long without getting over whatever their preverbial hump is at the time. Iowa State couldn't break into the big 12 champ in FB two years in a row and Dallas can't win a playoff game, if I didn't have the 2006 St. Louis season I probably would just hate sports and what they do to me.

24... did not realize there were so many teens here besides cyismydog (not a bad thing... just means we've got lots of young cyclone fans coming through the pipe which is always good)

I'm 66 and just started my first class at ISU on the Middle East today. I'm in the college for seniors.

Excellent! Who's teaching it?

When you figure out the Middle East, let me know.

I swear, I learn something new and unexpected every day.

Thank you. I feel young at 61 - one quarter class away from a new license and a new career.

I feel comfortable with the fact it is not bad to be up this late at the age of 39 and all of you guys that are older than me are up late too. You must all be night owls! I am actually staying up to see if water comes in the basement from the latest round of storms.

Actually, you only call it being a "night owl" when you are young. At your age, it is called insomnia!

At the same time, success for us CubClones isn't ho-hum and something that we take for granted. It's something that we can enjoy in the moment and be happy about for quite some time.

The pain is worth it. You just have to embrace the pain as your friend (and then go for a run with Phaedrus):yes:
