Thats what I was thinking. They didnt have power steering way back when.

When I was in high school in the mid-'90s I was driving around my parents' '87 GMC Safari. The power steering went out on that, and I had to make do until my parents could get it in to get fixed. It sucked, but it wasn't undrivable.

Just dont stop when you turn and you should be fine. At least that was what it was like on tractors.

Your first mistake was stopping in Marshalltown.

Should have hit the loose meat place instead of WMart since traffic can be bad. My experience is rates go up for 2-3 years until you prove you are a good driver again. They might put you under a subsidiary bad risk insurance company.
