I think this will be the case but I'd like to see one more bubble-quality team (i.e. 35th-55th estimated team in the country) for personal preference. Ideally get them at Hilton in 2017 and do the road game in '18. A top 50 win/win over a tournament team in non-con could be what it takes to get on the right side of the bubble if things go decently well.

I like this philosophy. Hilton magic could be just enough to push a young team over the top to snag a decent win or 2. The good news is that Iowa comes to Ames, and hopefully the SEC game is at home too.

Agree on the road trips in 2018, when we have a more seasoned team. Someone should email Pollard!

I think Northwestern is a no-brainer (if home and home of course).

Question...is the SEC challenge pairing determined by conference finish this year? If so, then it is South Carolina. I would expect that to be nixed since we might play them in the tournament. There then is a group of 3 teams (Vandy, Alabama, and Ole Miss). Prediction would be Ole Miss since we played Vandy last year and have played Alabama recently. Personally, I'd love to play Florida, but bet that West Virginia gets that pleasure...
