My problem is not with ribbing, that happens everywhere. My problem is with people wanting to ensue any type of violence of any kind on someone. Its just a football game, no matter how you slice it.

Good thing you're staying home then! My advice to you is to never, ever attend the "rivalry" game in Iowa City.

FYI, if you're referring to my post than the douchebaggery I was referencing was actually the terrible Cyclone posters in this thread.

I have some cans for you too! Please wear a shirt that says "The_Architect" on the front to the tailgate lots on Saturday.

To that account i have been to Jack Trice during a husker game. We actually lost in 05 i believe and the heckling i got leaving that stadium was atrocious. I went to the nebraska oklahoma game last year. Our most hated rival, and not one bit if heckling was heard from me during the game and in the parking lots after.

Im not going to the game this year because frankly i dont want to go to jail. Its not that i go looking for a fight, but i have a feeling jacked up drunk cyclone fans will. Especially if the game gets out of hand. I think ill just watch it from the confides of my home this year. To bad, i root for isu every other game.

Edit: 2005? You got heckled by Cyclone fans after a Nebraska double OT win in Lincoln?

It doesnt matter ceek. Its a dirty shot to put the blame on nebraska and nebraska alone. Nebraska wasnt even the 1st team to leave the conference but yet we get the blame. Why, because were the big 12 norths big brother, is that what people think. We are suspost to think for the benefit of the north of the conference. Texas has showed its all for one and thats pretty much it. Last time i checked 10 teams in a conference can still be considered a conference. I think the boys in ames need to look south as to who held there conference in the palm of there hands. But again, if given the chance there would be flame marks from ames with how fast they burned to the big 10. You are no different then we are.

NEBRASKA:

Opposed to Equal Big 12 Revenue Sharing since 1994

In favor of Equal Big 10 Revenue Sharing since 2010

gotta look out for our own, what with promises of flying pumpkins and empty beer cans.

This pretty much sums up the rules to "live" by for Nebby fans in Ames.

1. Cheer for your team without being an ******* about it.
2. Do not mock ISU fans for cheering for their team.
3. Check your ******* attitudes at the gate.
4. Feel free to yell "Go Big Red" all you want just don't do it in a Cyclone fans face like I have seen done many times. That never ends well.
5. No matter the score of the game.... act like you have been there before. Our entire section was about in a brawl with some Husker fans in 2008 because they wouldn't stop making rude comments, mocking ISU fans, and in general being some of the biggest idiots ever. Those Husker fans were never happier to be escorted from a stadium by security because they were all about to die.
6. At the end of the game no matter the result, don't be d-bags. Nothing makes a fan look worse then making excuses for a loss. Conversely like in 2008, nothing makes a Husker fan look more idiotic then bragging about beating ISU. Our programs aren't on the same level and it makes you look stupid to brag. Especially in 2008, our team was not good at all. lol
7. Don't under any circumstances ever snatch the hat off of an ISU fans head either. This happened to a my buddy at the 2008 game and ended with the Husker fan being slammed head first into the concrete stadium steps. Remember... at the end of the day you get what you deserve. Act like a ******** and you will reap the reward.

Watch for a witty Nebraska fan comeback.

It's pretty sad we need to tell them how to act.

I don't remember anyone asking how to act in ames...there is nothing that requires a witty come back, though i'd be happy to provide one if the situation required.

Well if we don't tell them then they will just act like typical Nebby fans and then all of the nasty things people are saying they will do to them will be reality..... and it will be well deserved.

You didn't ask, and thats why we have to "tell" you.

The Pythagorean theorem is A²+B²=C².

If people don't know not to do the things that you listed then an *** whoopin would be well deserved and they probably shouldn't be leaving the state lines anyways.

Back to football, what do you guys think will be the main thing you have to do in order to win? Personally I think that it will come down to your O-Line VS. our D-Line, if your O-line shows up and blocks well for the rush game, I think Nebraska may be in for a dog fight, if that aspect of your game is left wanting, I suspect Nebraska will win by 1 or 2 scores, thoughts?

You can obviously see why I have no sympathy for Nebby fans that get treated poorly then. In my experience they would deserve anything they get because the attitude and actions I have consistently witnessed myself. Usually Cyclone fans will take it in stride to a certain extent.... this Saturday the fuse will be much, much shorter. Let's hope nothing bad happens.
