This pretty much sums up the rules to "live" by for Nebby fans in Ames.

1. Cheer for your team without being an ******* about it.
2. Do not mock ISU fans for cheering for their team.
3. Check your ******* attitudes at the gate.
4. Feel free to yell "Go Big Red" all you want just don't do it in a Cyclone fans face like I have seen done many times. That never ends well.
5. No matter the score of the game.... act like you have been there before. Our entire section was about in a brawl with some Husker fans in 2008 because they wouldn't stop making rude comments, mocking ISU fans, and in general being some of the biggest idiots ever. Those Husker fans were never happier to be escorted from a stadium by security because they were all about to die.
6. At the end of the game no matter the result, don't be d-bags. Nothing makes a fan look worse then making excuses for a loss. Conversely like in 2008, nothing makes a Husker fan look more idiotic then bragging about beating ISU. Our programs aren't on the same level and it makes you look stupid to brag. Especially in 2008, our team was not good at all. lol
7. Don't under any circumstances ever snatch the hat off of an ISU fans head either. This happened to a my buddy at the 2008 game and ended with the Husker fan being slammed head first into the concrete stadium steps. Remember... at the end of the day you get what you deserve. Act like a ******** and you will reap the reward.

This +1

And, if you are a hokeye fan, don't wear your ******* iowa regalia to Ames. Go to your own damn game in Ia City, unless your yugo won't make it that far.

This thread is SO cool. I'll admit I almost had to be removed from dbag Iowa Sqwak fan in KC this year.

NU fans be careful, some of the 'tough guys' you speak of behind the screen and keyboard WILL actually throwdown upon being called for. Tread lightly, and don't be the afore mentioned *********...the taking of a fellow fan's hat would definitely NOT be a good idea if you are trying to create any new friends.

Why can't we all just get along?

If there's one thing I've learned in my life, it's that you don't go picking fights with drunk mid-westerners, especially when you're outnumbered 10-1.

That is the kind of attitude that will get you right where you want to be on Saturday.

Oh well.... don't say we didn't warn you.

Really? And you and your friends are so much better than everyone else? Look at the arrogance of your own on here then talk skippy.

Oh am is that another veiled threat from a clone? Interesting, you all are so much better than everyone else.

Back to football, what do you guys think will be the main thing you have to do in order to win? Personally I think that it will come down to your O-Line VS. our D-Line, if your O-line shows up and blocks well for the rush game, I think Nebraska may be in for a dog fight, if that aspect of your game is left wanting, I suspect Nebraska will win by 1 or 2 scores, thoughts?

With our team it is too hard to tell. We have been excellent at being completely inconsistent in all areas. Some games we block well, some terrible, some games we throw the ball well, some terrible, some games we run the ball well, other terrible. There is no logical explanation for it either. We were great on offense against Texas, but struggled against K-State. Who knows what ISU team shows up on Saturday.

I do worry about Nebraska's ability to hit big plays in the running game. Stopping the run isn't our defense's specialty but we haven't really given up too many big plays on the ground. I guess my question is will Nebraska be satisfied grinding the game out on the ground for first downs or will they be trying to force some big plays through the air? That could be a key factor.

I don't think that will be very much of an issue, it seemed in our SDSU game, (south dakota state) that they were really trying to get 50+ yards per play, I don't know if that was a coaching issue or a player issue, but since then they've been perfectly happy to "grind it out", I think the mizzou game would be the most telling, some how we got out to a 24-0 lead and then lost our QB for the second half of the game, it was pretty clear at that point that they were just going to take their foot off the gas and slow play mizzou so that we'd get the W.

Also, for all the inconsistencies that you say ISU has, I think Nebraska has a fair share of their own, linebacker and d-line play has been all over the place, WR play as well..It's funny because I kind of feel the same way you do in that "I wonder which team shows up" kind of way.

Never can tell what Watson's plan will be. My guess is he will run the ball as much as possible to start and then throw in play action off of it.

While they have had big pass plays, they dont look for them much. The big play side comes more in the run game and when we get man on man and get a body on everyone. When OL and TEs and WRs block as they should, they are hard to stop.

I have another one for you:

8. Don't be talking about how ISU's best player really isn't that good while walking out of the stadium. You never know who is walking in front of you. Saw a couple of guys just get pummeled for badmouthing Troy Davis on the way out. They had no idea how mad their discussion was making the guys in front of them until they turned around swinging.

Just saying... anytime I have seen an issue in Ames between Husker and Clone fans it has been instigated by the Husker fans. Their arrogance gives them some false sense of security that they can do and say whatever they want. Just pointing out that it just isn't the case. Come to Ames, have a great time, enjoy the game but if you run your mouth which is usually the case you should expect to get an unwelcomed reaction for it. Act like ******** and you will get what you deserve. That isn't a threat... it is just reality.

It is amazing that you guys wonder why other teams hate it when your fans come to town. lol. Go look at the Kansas game threads, UNI game threads, Texas Tech game threads, etc.... and you will not find anything in any of them reminding the other teams fans to not be dickheads when they come to Ames. Nebraska fans are a special breed. That is all.

We don't have to wonder anything, you and your friends are more than happy to explain why you hate us so much. It has all been said before. 90% or more of the hatred is either based off of 2% of our fanbase being d-bags or people simply repeating the same drivel someone else posted who was repeating the same drivel someone else posted etc etc

So many of the comments are almost carbon copy of what someone else said.

Is really rather silly. When a person comes here and reads clone fans threatening to throw beer cans, pumpkins, throw down with someone, talk trash about a 'fan'.. some hypothetical representation of the 'typical Husker fan' and all of the typical BS... THEN accuse Husker fans of being the worst fans around. I mean you have to chuckle at the stupidity of it all.

"You Husker fans are garbage... you claim to be the best in all of college football but you are all inbred, losers who worship your God TO and your players. We hate you blah blah blah... but Oh yeah we aren't bad fans ourselves...

And that video of Hawkeye fans throwing cans at the Clone fan. Disgusting.

You will have to come back on and tell me if you get hit by a pumpkin. My guess is... there will not be a single pumpkin harmed over in Ames this weekend. :biglaugh:

Actually, I'll probably be drunk enough that I couldn't hit a bus with a beer can much less a person's head. Not that I would really toss beer cans at random husker fans anyway. It's been fun to get a rise out of some people on this board, though.

Yeah, I don't get what's so hard to understand about this; NU ****ed us, or at least tried to. Their fans need to start owning up to this.

To solve this problem you:
A) Use a pumpkin...larger circumference, greater chance of a head shot
B) Throw the beer can towards a large crowd of Husker Homers, you're bound to hit one of them and you get that possible bonus of knocking it off a little Huskers' noggin

or best of all,

C) Use a combo of pumpkin & throwing into a large crowd

Also close in on them while another friend creates a diversion for you, then open up.
Yes, head shots are worth more points.
