I don't hate em, just disappointed they left. I miss the old Big 12.

Always felt Colorado leaving made sense even though their results have been horrible.

Nebby and A&M seemed like the jealous bridesmaid to UT and OU and took their ball elsewhere.

Mizzou just wanted attention. Remind how minimal the hoopla was about Mizzoui going to the SEC vs. A&M? It was like "oh guess we need an even number, come here little step child"

His school nearly destroyed ISU, they tried to leave us in pieces.

Yep. Say what we want about UT, but we need the to be a national power and need to stay with them to stay at the big kids table...or at least 10 years ago that was the case.

Do non-A&M grads wear them anymore? I can’t think of a single person who wears one.

Edit: actually I can but he’s from one of the d-3 schools in Iowa and has a chronic levels of little man syndrome and no one takes him seriously.

Oklahoma State grads wear them. Not as prevalent as Texas A&M but you'll see it in the Ag community.

Of the four defectors, I have the least against A&M. They’d be the first one I’d invite back. the old B12 was the best FB, MBB, WBB and baseball conference at one point. We let the traditional blue bloods destroy that.
Only if we're giving Baylor the boot. Can't have too many Texas schools.

I miss our Big 8 frenemies. I'm sad A&M left, but certainly understand the desire to get away from TeXa$. A&M seems a natural fit in the SEC too.
FWIW: There is a theory in Texas college football circles that A&M’s departure has harmed Texa$ b/c it further exposed Texas high school recruiting grounds to SEC poaching. I think there are endemic, cultural issues at UT that have limited their football success in recent years, but this recruiting angle could be a factor, as well.

One major issue is coaching changes also.

Just think back to 2012 when arrogant Deloss Dodds said the following:

He knew it was wrong when he said it and Texas was scared what would happen when A&M moved to the SEC.

I didn’t know college rings even existed, wouldn’t have bought one anyhow.

It's definitely more of a southern school thing. Besides A&M (the most common) I see UT, U of Houston, Texas Tech, Rice, and Arkansas rings here in Houston.
