any dc people wanna carpool to/from the game

my initial post requested a non burning couch to sleep on in morgantown. carpooling makes more sense than staying there. thought it was a longer drive than what it actually is. i live in hedgesville wv, right off of interstate 81, near martisnburg.

of course, i'd provide some cash for gas.

i plan on heading to morgantown to see the game monday. i live about 3 hours from there and would really appreciate it if any of you cyclone fans live in town or near town and have a couch or floor to crash on. otherwise, i'll be back on the road right after the game and well, that is just going to be brutal.

im a 32 year old dude from iowa, now living in hedgesville, wv. graduated from isu in 04 for what its worth.

Can't drive 3 hours from 8-11 at night?

There is always a couch on fire on campus, much like an eternal flame. Bring a sleeping bag and stay to the east of the flame, the hobos pee on the west side and fornicate on the south side of the couch flame.

I made $600 in the month of january (self employed). a motel 6 would be splurging a little bit. my car gets 34mpg hwy, so i can afford gas for an occassion such as this. it just isn't very often the cyclones come within 500miles of me so this is a bit of a treat for the opportunity.

i don't own a tv and haven't for 7 years.

I am a tightwad because i have to be. but i also like to treat myself to some cyclone action when afforded the opportunity.

cripes, why is everyone so cynical? it is a simple request. why even respond if you only point it so make me look like a fool? thought there may be a some support for a fellow cyclone instead of mockery.

Your avatar suddenly makes a lot of sense. Good luck to you sir (or maam). Hope you find a place to crash.

Three hours? It's 131 miles and all interstate. I'm driving home after the game and I live near DC. That will be a three hour drive.

Yikes. Judge much, people? No harm in the guy asking if there are any Cyclone fans willing to help our a fell ISU alum. Can't help you out, but hope someone in town can help out or maybe splitting a hotel room with someone else who is down there would be an option?

oh, my roommates told me it'd be 2.5 hours min and to give it 3. i have never made the drive before. just moved here in august. looking at a map i guess they overestimated a bit.

I can vouch for York being a good guy. I used to live next door to him on Clark Ave in Ames, not sure if he remembers that.
