I don't know candidates and I'm a total novice, but I wonder if we'd be better off with someone who can 'own' the offense...CPR can fire the person, but other than that, the OC has control of the offense, including recruiting, scheme, playcalling. Under CPR, we've struggled on offense with an OC who now seems to be pretty successful at tOSU, and his replacement who seems to be falling farther behind every year. Read a little about this Mumme fella, I think he could own the offense. The Mangina...I don't know...he is a wizard, but I don't think his style would fit with CPR.
Maybe you make it an 'associate head coach/OC' position...speaking of which...what's with Bleil...he's still listed as assistant head coach and tight ends coach.
