It sucks because we are the better team with better players. Played at home and outgained them by 100 yes. We refuse to return a kick until whatever happened to start the one drive at our own 6 which flipped the game. Sad.
It took freerents 5 years to best ISU we'll be fine.I like him. I want him to stay.
But he's 0-4 against an arch rival that is better than average at best. The mistakes made today are the same losing football we've seen for four decades.
Captain Kirk was 3-6 against ISU his first 9 years. And some have been the best teams during his tenure. So give coach Camobell a break.
Play calling is far down on the list of issues with that game. Our running backs had EIGHT carries for the top two. Kene averaged 9 yds per and got SIX attempts. That is pure incompetence out of the play caller.
I use to. I think however being relevant in October and November shuts them out. Because outside of the the state lines....no championship we strive for go through Iowa City.I think a lot of it speaks to having a consistent coach. When you have a long term winning culture and "process," you don't have as much adjustment early in the season compared to many teams. Just hate to lose this one, mainly because of listening to their fans.

Every time I see the #proveit hashtag I wanna throat punch someone. Embarrassing.
Biggest difference between him and the last four decades is the huge improvement as the year progresses.I like him. I want him to stay.

Matt TacoBell could probably put a better coached team on the field.
We were not out talented by Iowa that game. Mental mistakes. We have no margin for error, usually the game is going to be close we have to make fewer mistakes or we lose... it’s still the best way to be competitive because we will usually be down talent wise.
5 years a carry? That’s pretty good imo. Especially for a rib. They’re usually smaller than a football so that’s an incredible display of strength. His offense is bad. They bring less than 10 plays to each game and they are different each week. The ribs averaged what 5+ yrs a carry and we have purdy stumbling around
You need to give us options, like “optimistic” to close it or “winner” to let it become a classic.I'll let the users decide on this one...close this thread or let it become an all-time classic?
