Impact of Hawk fans on Cyclone Fanatic....

Can we please get a moderator or Jeremy or somebody to comment on why we can or cannot take the rival board off the front page? This is the screaming solution to this whole problem.

I commented earlier that the In-State Rivals forum and its placement is still under discussion between the mods. If you remember the recent poll, the voters here were at a literal 50/50 split on this. No matter what, a large faction of the board will be unhappy about this. In the meantime, I would just say to do your best to ignore the threads that bother you, and place members that bother you on your Ignore List.
I'm not sure why you had to state the obvious but maybe a few will figure it out now. Jeez people, it's a MESSAGE BOARD. Quit taking it so serious
I'll also add that it could be worse...you could be a mod and HAVE to read most of the threads on the board.:wink:

That's ok...us peons can't ignore mods either. I've tried, and the site won't let me.
It's been said many times the discussion is ongoing among the moderating folk, just let it go.
I think we're seeing why so many boards over the years have either gone completely to subscription only or made a subscription only section. Kudos to Jeremy for standing by his vision of the board (I swear now that I have a real job Jeremy my long overdue donation is coming, just have to figure out how PayPal works :smile
. This board has become incredibly popular for a multitude of reasons, and as the population grows, so do the variety of posters. The presence of Hawkeye fans has not diluted the valuable discussions that go on here. I appreciate SH and others for the occasional insight into Iowa's program because I love college football and :gasp: don't hate the Hawkeyes with the entirety of my being.
The idiotic discussions that go on in the ISR forum are started and drug on by both sides and sadly I don't think it's going to change. The number of e-peen contests and moral smiting battles has gone beyond entertaining to ridiculous. Remember, just because someone is trying to bait you into a flame war, doesn't mean you have to take it hook line and sinker.
Edit: I go to /. for my flame war reading pleasure, the ones here make me a sad panda

The reason I started posting here is the same reason I post on a Big 10 board on another site. It's far more enlightening, entertaining, and interesting to talk sports with people who don't think like yourself. I have never, and probably will never post on an actual Hawk only site. I drop in on these from time to time to get info, but I get tired of the extreme homerness. (did I just make up a word...)
I've learned to stay clear of any discussions involving player arrests. I posted in a few of these and then a week later a new thread was started and people were saying the exact same things they had said the week before. I felt like Bill Murray in Groundhog Day.

The name of this website is CycloneFanatic. If you are on CycloneFanatic you are either a cyclone fan yourself or just here to bash and harass cyclone fans. The only other people that visit this website are frontrunners. Frontrunners, in my opinion, are the lowest form of life. You know these guys. They root for the Yankees or Red Sox in baseball, Lakers in basketball, and either the Cowboys or Steelers in football. Teams they root for have no geographical connection whatsoever. The frontrunners that visit this website are the people that went to Iowa State but root for the Hawkeyes. These people disgust me. If you make the decision to go to Iowa State – root for Iowa State! Don’t be a frontrunner!
