CPR already handed out the punishment for the accusations.

that part is done.

IMO, the only MORE to this is if he IS guilty and found guilty.

That is what I was discussing with keepngoal, because he seems to think the punishment is over and done with no matter if he is guilty or not.

Where do you get that? Look at what keep said above. I don't think he has ever said that there will not be any more punishment regardless of what happens. I don't think anyone has. If so, let me know.

Iowa Code 711:

A person commits a robbery when, having the intent to commit a theft, the person does any of the following acts to assist or further the commission of the intended theft or the person's escape from the scene thereof with or without the stolen property: 1. Commits an assault upon another. 2. Threatens another with or purposely puts another in fear of immediate serious injury. 3. Threatens to commit immediately any forcible felony. It is immaterial to the question of guilt or innocence of robbery that property was or was not actually stolen.

Sorry, I must have been reading it wrong. I read it to where it says the football punishment is over, and the only other punishments handed out will be by the authorities.

The reason I say that is obviously, if he is innocent of the charges, then it doesn't matter. He shouldn't be punished anyway.

Ya, that changes things. I guess if he has to serve the full jail sentence, we won't have to worry about whether CPR suspends him or not :jimlad:

I would imagine he's off the team, and that really bites. He was starting to play pretty well the last couple of games. At least it doesn't seem that Nealy was involved to the point that Gary was, and will hopefully still be on the team next season.

EDIT: Didn't read the article or realize it was the same one from before.

I find it interesting that the only two threads you have posted on since joining in July are this one and one related to a wrestler getting into trouble. BTW, that article has already been posted. Troll on.

I was back on leave from Afghanistan in July and came home for good last week.

Sorry I hadn't posted more.

It takes time.... Investigate, get statements... Sounds like it might not be so cut and dry if it took this long. Either way being arrested is the same as being charged.... It's still allegedly

Where they love the governor
711.2 Robbery in the first degree.
A person commits robbery in the first degree when, while perpetrating a robbery , the person purposely inflicts or attempts to inflict serious injury, or is armed with a dangerous weapon. Robbery in the first degree is a class “B” felony.

Sounds like they are at this time considering the BB gun to be a dangerous weapon to push it to First Degree.
