That is so cruel!!! What if Bates is sensitive about his weight?

Really, it's a glandular condition.... It's not his fault!

I was back in Ames last week and noticed most jerseys on the racks at both the bookstores and local sporting good stores were #4, is that Bates number?

As an aside, the Jerseys look really sharp.

I saw Bates randomly on campus about 3 weeks ago. The dude is absolutely jacked.

Arnaud lost 10 lbs. and Bates gained 6 lbs. from last year (even though I don't think Bates was 209 last year as the roster lists)

Here is a hypothetical for you 33. Let's say AA wins the job outright and the coaches manage to convince Bates to move to WR full time. Would he be our best receiver?

If he's better than Hamilton or that no-name guy we fought A&M for, I'll be quite surprised.

And ecstatic - as that would make him one helluva receiver.

hypothetically, Bates would be an outstanding WR, but i think he would be comparable to RJ Sumrall. Bates is far more dangerous coming from under center. By the way, Bates DID switch from 8 to 7, but yes only because it is the number he has donned all through life.

And for who is wondering, I think Sederick Johnson is going to be a good reciever, just not as good as everyone is playing him out to be. he will be solid for us, about like Marquis Hamilton.

Jason Carlson will be very dangerous for us this year.

I can't wait to see him on the field. I can't remember the last time we had someone with his kind of speed.

Can he catch a punt????

thanks for keeping me on record, From what i witnessed, Wallace Franklin had the potential to do big things for us, but never really got on the field, My bad.
