Has anyone considered Phil Bennett, the SMU Coach? He was D-Coordinator for K-State and has turned SMU into a winner this year. Not saying he would be good, just think he's done a pretty good job there.

Hey...doesn't Hayden Fry still live in Texas??

Just kidding....I actually agree with Isualum2003's theory.

Where do they do these interviews? Is there Big 12 offices down there he can use. Curious......its not like you can do these interviews at the local Denny's.

Actually, most often these interviews take place in 3rd party cities....does really say anything about who the candidates are.

Kragthorpe is on record as saying that he had no interest in coaching at UNC and wanted to stay as long as he could at Tulsa. Why would he change his view to come to Ames, Iowa? Not being pessimistic, just wondering.

The Big 12 offices are in Dallas...and it would make sense that the interviews would take place there. but i can not confirm that :)

Well then your stuck huh?

Several people could also have flown into Dallas Airport. maybe interview all day. How about Loney flying in at ISU expense? Smart to interview outside little Ames. When the lear jet flies into Ames from texas, check to see who gets off the plane.

Often when coaches realize they are not going to get the job they pull there name out of the running and say they don't want to be a candidate. Not saying this is the case here, but it is a possibillity.

It must have drifted to the free zone fairly soon. Two sentences on front page is all this forum needs to kick off in high gear disccussion of head coach hirings. All we see hear is that interviews are probably occurring all day at the Dallas Ft Worth Airpot. We know JP has to be back in the morning to do his thing for McC.
