Another small advantage for us is that they have a lot father west to travel than we do. Can't hurt. Especially if we have to play an early game.

Stats have their place but so does the eye test. Here is a highlight reel from their game against Monmouth. The big guy really does play a lot like Niang. Really looks like a inferior talent ISU.

Watched some Fairfield highlights (no apparently not the local HS) but Iona looked slow and lazy on D. We need to focus on ball movement.

Neither did UAB. I'm not saying we will lose, but that doesn't always mean anything in the tournament.

And if we play our worst game of the year like we did against UAB, we will lose. If we play an average game we will win. Every team we have lost to this year is better than Iona.

You can all blame me if we get upset, but I'm hoping Little Rock pulls off a 1st round upset.

Would also recommended to Promh going small and posting up their big guy with Burton. Get some fouls on him as they don't appear to have any other bigs.

I think our guys will be totally focused this year. That makes me feel a lot better. Last year we had so many games we just didn't show up to play.

I'm also starting to think that the big guy is Jordan Washington who played at Indian Hills. If so he is a hot head and you can easily get a bunch of fouls on him.

Edit, yep that is him He's lost some weight but Niang and McKay should have no problems.

I just checked the Iona Gaels website and Washington did play at Indian Hills.
