Iowa St to host Incarnate Word Dec 1st

I like this. KCCI reported that Incarnate Word's football program was established in 2009. Not even a 10 year old football program gets some recognition and experience playing a P5 school, we get an easy win and most likely just confirmed a bowl game. Seems like a win win situation.

What are the other 5 wins?

UNA just bumped from Div II to FCS. They were good in Div II, three straight Nattys in the mid 90's and another appearance in 2016 (lost). We will see how they handle FCS but I would not be surprised to see them level out at the UNI level. They are in Florence, AL (appropriate with Hurricane Florence) which is a great town. I used to travel there a lot for work.

This is pretty embarrassing IMO.

We won 7 games last year in the regular season. If we can't match that or at least get to 6 this year, even in 11 games, then we don't deserve to go to a bowl. If we need this game to get to 6, we're not deserving at all IMO.

Basically CMC and JP are telling the team that they don't believe they can get to at least 6 wins this year without a cupcake. Just man up and get to 6 wins in 11 games.

And for all the Hawk fans laughing at this..... seriously?? You're schedule is probably still easier than ISU's this year even with us adding Incarnate Word. We'll both be playing 1 FCS school still, although Iowa's will be a tougher test, but our conference schedule is much tougher than Iowa's.

Would have won against SDSU, ISU wins this one.... didn't sound like their was much option left. Cant count on a win against OU and TCU every year to get to a bowl

How is this embarrassing? Is Alabama embarrassed when they schedule The Citadel, or Auburn scheduling Liberty? I’m more embarrassed of the fans complaining about this.

Who gives a **** about Iowa fans and what they say? They are morons. They would have talked trash no matter what we would have done. Are you embarrassed when our basketball team wins a few cupcake games that’s on their schedule every year just like it is for everyone else?
