They also have one ranked win, us. ISU has wins over: now ranked Iowa, was just ranked Arkansas, West Virginia, and Kansas.

I wish people would quit being Maryland apologists. We have a better resume than them, and will continue to do so because we play in the Big 12, and they play in the Little 10.

The resumes (as of now) are a lot closer than you think they are. They are ahead of us in both RPI and BPI, which I know doesn't tell the whole story. But they also beat us, in case you forgot.

As much as I'd love if Iowa lost out the rest of the year, their record to start B1G play warrants a Top 25 placing. Now, saying that, the B1G is so bad this year that Wisky might win it by 4 or 5 games and Iowa could be 2nd, it's that terrible top to bottom. Ohio State, Michigan, Indiana, and Nebraska all look like 8th or 9th place teams in the Big 12 this year.

If Iowa deserves top 25 for their start to the Big 10 then why shouldn't K-State also be rated, with a similar conference record but better wins over 2 top 25 teams and one team that was ranked a month ago.

I don't understand how a 4-1 in conference K-State isn't ranked. Their ****** non-con performances must really be hurting them.

That, and the only good win was really at OU. Beating TCU and Tech doesnt mean anything other than another digit in the W column.

I think Maryland should be 9 and we should be 10.
Are you going to be the victim advocate for maryland every thread on rankings? I see you have been. We played Maryland thinking theyes were a mediocre team we would steam roll and they came into that came looking to make a statement. If that game were played today it is highly dout full the result would be the same. That game is not definitive. We have more top 50 wins. Give it a rest.

Here is an indicator of where we are as a program ... we lose to a ranked team during the week, but still move up in the rankings.

Well, to be fair, we lose to a ranked team on the road (barely, barely, barely) and we move down. We then beat a top 10 team at home (close-ish score, but impressive win) and move back up more than we moved down.

Maryland beat us straight up. No need for excuses. They were better that day.
We're a better team now. That game doesn't have to be reflected in the rankings forever. If we had another shot at them, it would be a fantastic game, one way or the other.

They've always got the Coaches' Poll where they're ranked ahead of us. If it's that big a problem, they have that.

Yeah, I'm not sure why we are so damn concerned about Maryland being ranked below Iowa State. It's not at all surprising for many reasons, one of which is Iowa State has been ranked all year. Our resume is slightly better, so that is a big reason why we are ranked a bit higher. In addition, we have been ranked for the entire year and the better part of last season. Therefore, we get a bit of a break.
