Not to be a downer but with these new gold uniforms I’m disappointed that they removed the “cyclone” side striping. I agree with @Cloned4Life that the current mbb unis are great because of that unique design.

And as another poster noted, the number font on the new hold jersey looks off—it’s not the standard cyclone athletics font and I don’t like that.

Yeah just like the football unis the uniqueness got removed.... At least these are using a font from the past and isn't just a copy paste job.

I assume these new golds are a one-off. This has been a common theme with the recent Nike basketball reveals - there is a ‘standard’ set (like our current set) with a few one-offs mixed in, like a throwback script version. K-State recently did something similar.

And actually for this specific gold one-off, I actually love that they didn’t use our “font” numbers and kept the sides very classic. It’s perfect this way. It wouldn’t work as well if they tried to mix the 2, IMHO.

To call out though - something universally “happened” across all of college football because nearly every single uniform redesign across college football this year - Nike, Adidas, etc. - removed basically all uniqueness. I honestly cannot recall anything like it over the years. Like a glitch in the Matrix (of football uniforms).

I have always loved the Cyclones script logo. This jersey makes me very happy.

Simplicity is in right now. I love these. I don’t even notice the different number font. Glad we used a unique script.

“Cyclones” is such a unique mascot. We should put it out there!

I, too, really like the "cyclone" side striping, but I don't think it would work as well with this retro theme. Same for our numbers.

They knocked it out of the park with these. I'm still not a big fan of gold uniforms, but this is an undeniable upgrade over the atrocious version we had with the I-State.

I think it's important to note that Tamin is wearing a ton of red underneath the uniform. Not everyone is going to wear an undershirt and they can also wear white tights with this if they want.
