This is ridiculous. I wish we could have threads discussing isu without a troll beaker fan derailing every thread.

The thread on topic is Iowa State playing South Carolina, you have turned it into a **** show of KU scheduling.I seem to be the ONLY perosn still talking about the topic of the thread. It is you guys derailing the thread, not me.
And I am simply suggesting that there are 60+ other teams out there that will be bound for the ncaa tourney and I am 100% confident that some of them would gladly take a home/home series with ISU.
My assumption would be that the vast majority of teams have not yet filled their non-con schedule for next year. It is very early in the off season for teams to be done booking games for next year.Iowa State has two open dates remaining on the 2014-15 schedule. All other ships have sailed. Assuming no scheduling conflicts (another consideration in this thought experiment) .. what schools would "gladly" schedule a home-and-home, beginning now?
Look, I get it. I am an intruder here so some of you will simply assume I am trying to dog on Iowa State without actually reading anything I am typing. I WANT Iowa State to build itself into an elite team and teams that aren't the traditional name brand teams need to consistently play in non-con games with more visibility to do that. Kansas had a nationally known rivalry with Mizzou that had existed for over 100 years. The times when the rivalry was truly great and meaningful was when Mizzou was also an excellent team in the Top 10. I am sick and tired of the Big 12 being viewed nationally as a one team league. I WANT ISU to make the Final Four. I WANT the battle between Kansas and ISU for the league title to be for more than just local bragging rights. I want KU-ISU to be more like Duke-Carolina, where both teams are usually Top 10 teams. If it results in Kansas winning a few less Big 12 titles then so be it. It will only make both teams better prepared for the games that matter in the real tourney. My reason for being on here hoping that ISU books better non-con games is rooted in wanting ISU to be a big time player. Heck, I seem to be the only person on here saying that ISU worthy of such lofty aspirations. You guys are dogging ISU by saying they shouldn't expect to be able to get those games yet. Expect more from ISU; they have shown they are capable of beating good teams more than just every now and then.

This game is better than playing a nobody, but South Carolina in a neutral site that isn't part of a tournament seems a bit of a waste. There are plenty of mid-majors that we can play that would help our resume more than South Carolina.
I guess that's true. Maybe it's a game booked just to help pay the bills. That was an expensive arena.K-State played Tulane at Barclays Center last season. That arena will schedule any and all basketball games it can fit into the schedule.

Nobody (that doesn't have to) wants to play in Hilton. Nobody.
Cooke is from New Jersey. We announce this game in Brooklyn in the week before he commits to us. Coincidence only?
Here is South Carolina's recruiting class for this year. Not much to help a poor team. It'll be fun kicked Frank Martin's *** again.

And he was considered a bit of a stretch as well. Very athletic but not that skilled as of yet...IIRC.Interesting sidenote, at one point I believe we were recruiting Shamiek Sheppard.
