HAHA.....so ISU fan wants to mock and jeer other teams, all the while ignoring the dumpster fire in the back that is ISU football. Hypocrites are funny.

Yes look at all those football threads we have going ignoring how bad our team is...

You can't use a comparative of 9 games to 38 games. Not comparative samples. Plus, you put the 9 games in with the 38 games, so you gave it added weight in the 38 total. Do they not teach statistics at Iowa?

Just removing those 9 games jumps your average to 24.7, but you also need to remove the road non-con games and you should remove all neutral site games to get the true averages.

I didn't know this thread was gonna require math.

I'm out.

ISU should stop playing Iowa in Basketball. Its a lose lose. If ISU wins they are suppose to, if they lose it just looks bad. Playing Iowa does little to make ISU's NCAA resume better.

Seventeen pages on a game that isn't going to take place for over a month. You folks need an occupation.

My $0.02: Iowa will have trouble consistently shooting from the outside, and they won't always be able to lean on such a huge inside advantage to get points like they did today.

This is only based on one game so it's not worth a whole lot. But if Iowa continues to struggle from range, which has been an issue for them for a while, then they may not make as large of a stride this year as people were expecting.
Nothing wrong with what you said. I have felt this way all along.

That's weird.....who even still owns a tape recorder? Personally, I'd just use my phone, but then again I'm down with technology.

LOL, they can't guard 1-3 man-to-man and can't throw it in the ocean.
That's elite eight minimum.

My thoughts on Iowa basketball after 2 games.

Last year they were a bubble team that played like a tourney team at the end of the year. A weak schedule and some bad losses kept them out, but they made a solid run in the NIT that ended in a beating by a talented Baylor team.

They lost Eric May, and I think we can all agree that isn't a huge loss. They added Jok and Uthoff. In my opinion Uthoff will make this a better team. He is a good shooter, pretty decent off the dribble, good rebounder, and his length is benefit on the defensive side. I think Jok is going to be a very good player, but he is a freshman and will struggle this year. I think he can be effective as a spot up shooter, which is something Iowa needs. Bottom line, I would take either on my team.

Offensively they are going to attack the lane and draw a lot of fouls. They are a good shooting team from the line, so this strategy will be effective. So far it appears that they still won't shoot well from outside. If this improves they can be a very good offensive team.

Defensively they are long and do a good job protecting the rim. I think they give up way too many open 3's and good teams will take advantage. I also think they will struggle defending really athletic teams, like in the Baylor game last year.

In my opinion, the Hawks will be better than they were a year ago. That being said they play a tougher schedule and their record may be about the same. I think the 4 seed/top10 predictions that I have heard from some people are absurd at this point. In my opinion they probably fall somewhere between a bubble team and border line top 25.

I think the Iowa/ISU game will be very interesting. Iowa's strength (getting to the line)could exploit one of our biggest potential issues (foul trouble). However, if they allow us 25-30 3's and we are knocking them down, I think we win this game. If it was a road game I would probably feel different.

Alright, I'll drop it. In my defense though, someone else brought up that even others know ISU got screwed by the refs....I thought he was talking about the football game against Texas.

Now back to the topic at hand.....Iowa Vs Omaha

Well that makes sense, you had no reason to watch the NCAA tourney last spring, so you wouldn't have seen the fisting we got in the 3rd round.
