ISU fans travel well and each team has same opportunity to get tix. Yes will be Wisconsin heavy but ISU fans will show up.

Each team has the same allotment, but i'd imagine a lot of wisconsin fans were picking up tickets earlier thinking they'd have a good chance of ending up at this tourney site.

This game comes down to whether Iowa State can make shots. Because we get so little scoring from our bigs (unlikely to change vs Sconi’s bigs) it comes down to our guards. 2 came up big last night but we’ll need better balance to beat the Badgers. If we have one of our abysmal shooting games we’ll score 40 and lose. It sounds overly simple but for ISU that’s all it’s about.

Btw, I think Wisconsin is a lot better than LSU. I couldn’t figure out what LSU was good at offensively.

We have struggled in the NCAA Tournament with teams that have big post and post games. Virginia in 2016, Purdue killed us on the inside with Swanigan, Ohio State with Kaleb Wesson. Our track record against the Big 10 in the NCAA Tournament is not good (0-3 in the last 9 years), for some reason have trouble matching up with the style of play. With that said, if we hit shots, we will win, I don't think we win scoring in the 50s.

The problem with Purdue and tOSU was ISU decided to let them dictate the style instead of using ISU's strengths (grtting out and running).

ISU is more like those teams now.

WI will be tough and had their own issues.

I'd rather play Colgate, just because when these teams upset the big schools they typically lose the next round and kind of spend all of their emotional energy in the first one.

Saw this and found it interesting. ISU reseeded to a 7. Hilarious part is that Richmond is the last seed.

Of course LSU lost because of the emotional week they had and not because of the great defense we have played all year...

Wisconsin as a 3 seed and Texas Tech as a 3 seed is laughable. These teams aren’t even close to one another. Glad ISU got Wisconsin.
Agreed. I am also a fan/ alumni of montana state. I think the Cats could have hung with wisky for a good while. Tech is just different, the way they're built and the way they defend.

I have a feeling Gabe and Izaiah will be all over Davis defensively, and make his night very difficult

Kalscheur and Brockington are combined 3-7 against Wisconsin. Both had really solid games and some nondescript games against the Sconnies too.

With their familiarity with Greg Gard-coached teams it will be really fascinating if that experience impacts the game plan and subsequent game.

Who knows the outcome, but the ISU-Wisconsin game has a lot of fascinating storylines (Tyrese’s (lack of) recruitment, the Wisconsin-Bennett’s-TJ connections, B12 vs. B10, Upper Midwest recruiting turf war, etc).

This always is an awesome time of year and especially when ISU is still in it. Just enjoy it!

It sucks having to essentially play a road game in the NCAA tournament. Just ask the Texas-Arlington women's team. On the other hand, we've played some of our best games on the other team's court or on neutral courts.

Wisconsin hasn't faced a defense as tenacious as ours, and they'll find that points will be hard to come by. All of the pressure will be on them.

I'm confident we'll give an incredible effort Sunday and that's all we can ask for.

I was at the game Wisconsin played at Rutgers and I'd rather have ISU play Colgate a hundred times over. Wisconsin showed that the Raiders weren't used to playing vs. power conference, lockdown D and couldn't get open looks in the last 10 minutes. The combination of Kalscheur-Hunter-Grill-Brockington-Jackson-Enaruna would've done well vs. Colgate's shooters.

Rutgers is similar to ISU in the sense that they really get after you on defense and play with a lot of grit. Wisconsin was still able to get enough good looks to knock down outside shots and hold them off down the stretch. Interestingly, they held Davis pretty well in check for most of the game.

100% agree. Plus it would be closer to an ISU home game if we played Colgate. But I love the idea of beating a 3 seed and really earning our way to the S16. We’ll have to play a lot better offensively to win.
