Wisconsin fans will have a strong presence. But don't underestimate Iowa State fans. Not only the ones from Iowa, but the fans from Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Illinois as well. We have a good chunk of players from the area.
It doesn’t matter how many fans ISU has in the area or how great we travel…Wisconsin fans already have all the tickets! They bought them before the brackets were announced during the presale on the hopes Wisconsin would be there. It’s the same thing ISU fans will do next year when Des Moines is a 1st/2nd round site.

Take out their top scorer like we did with Murray. We gotta clean up the turnovers and hitting shots is a must.

The problem with Purdue and tOSU was ISU decided to let them dictate the style instead of using ISU's strengths (grtting out and running).

ISU is more like those teams now.

WI will be tough and had their own issues.
The Purdue game was when I knew Prohm wasn't that great of a coach. Waiting so long to isolate Swanigan on Burton was idiotic. Same with Niang and Virginia's bigs.

ISU fans travel well and each team has same opportunity to get tix. Yes will be Wisconsin heavy but ISU fans will show up.
How many ISU fans do you think bought tickets for Milwaukee thinking ISU might wind up there. There equal allotment only applies to tickets held back for schools.

We will have fans there but thinking this will be anything but a home game for Wisconsin is foolish.

Whisky looked slow and their ball handling wasn't impressive at all. Looked like Iowa to me. Colgate was slow too and was able to get open shots all night. Defensively ISU is going to turn them over a bunch and I see their defense being loose enough our guys will get some easy open looks. Haven't seen that for awhile. IB is going to chew them up with his midrange game. Wisconsin's bigs are slow and don't think they'll be able to help when he gets in there.

I was hoping Wisconsin would beat Colgate because I want to beat a damn Big 10 team in the tournament. No need to be afraid of Wisconsin. I hope we get Auburn after that. Us against the world.

Zero chance I would rather play Wisconsin, but they feel a lot like Iowa with the one star Davis and some very solid role players. We will definitely not be outmatched crazy talent wise, so like always will come down to us hitting shots.

Like Iowa, they're eilte at not turning it over. I do think Davis' skillset is more problematic for us than Murray. He's a better ball handler and shot creator.

I worry about Wahl winning the mind games and killing us inside.

Exactly. The tickets are sold. It's not like we're racing to the box office. It will be extremely pro-Wisconsin, and they will be loud. We will have a presence, and we know we'll be loud, but nothing like what they will have.

I wouldn't put much stock in our past performances against the Big 10. We play a much different style than those years.

Need to keep Davis from going crazy, and the crowd will be against us. Also need a more efficient game from Brockington, and help from Kalscheur or Grill. We're playing with house money so I'm just going to enjoy it.

When you say they bought them, do you mean on the secondary market? Because I wouldn't think they would just go on sale to the public months ago.

I always worry about anyone killing us inside. Hope our D is up to the task.

Just need our team to hit timely baskets to keep their crowd under control and take them out of the equation. I'm excited for this game.

Exactly.

We are not an offensive team. For that reason I was actually not upset about the 37 minute delay. It's not like our shooting has these great results from a normal pregame prep routine. It probaby hurt LSU more than it hurt us.

Might as well break up the normal rhythm and see what happens. Warm ups and even shootaround aren't game speed reps, anyways. There's only real value in pregame shooting reps if you have proven production to point to, IMO.

They do. The large majority of tickets are pre-sold to the public months ahead of time.

Davis can also be really streaky too though and can get into a do-everything mode no matter how many bad possessions they have.

I'm curious to see how both teams approach the game.

There are a looooooot of ISU alums up here.
As someone that went to the game last night… it won’t even be close. I was actually disappointed with our turnout. I expected to see more ISU fans, but it was like 70% wisc, 25% ISU, 5% Colgate.
