Is Texas Tech in Lubbock a trap game?

I think it's key for ISU to have a offensive plan that doesn't rely at all on perimeter shooting. We could lose to Hoover HS on a night where we launch 25 3s for no points.

From here on out we will be the team to beat, and that's a good problem to have. I think Fred can keep the team focused, but I'm not going to think the world is coming to the end the next time we drop a conf. game. Just hope it's not this Sat.

I expect Tech to give us a game, and I expect us to look like crap for a good chunk of it.

I wouldn't mind if KU and UT went into 4 OTs.

Honestly, if I'm CFH, I'm treating this like a first and second round game in the NCAA Tournament and preaching it to the players that way.

Tell your boys to just dominate the **** out of Tech in the first half and we can coast the second half.

I'd say this is the third easiest possible date on a B12 schedule behind Tech at home and TCU at home. Which does make it a trap game.

Big 12 this year is basically 17 very tough game possibilities and 3 'should win' games. @TCU isn't going to be a cakewalk for teams even though they're in transition with their arena.

If we lose to Texas Tech (playing good or not good) then we don't belong in the conference title talk. They are really the only bad team in the conference.

I see a maturity level with this team that won't allow that to happen. They've learned a bit from the Maryland loss and the South Carolina loss. TT is not good, and if we play with any kind of intensity, it should be a 20 point win.
I agree, with this, but am so use to being aggravated.... Example, I don't think this team has played to their capabilities in Big 12 play yet....

It's almost the exact definition of one. A road game @ a bad team with a top 25 coming 2 days later is a pretty big trap to me.

Have we been practicing our free throw defense? Like Hogue give a big yawn or georges burps?

Always is. It's like playing in a mausoleum.

i worry about this more than the scheduling of it. Our team seems to respond more to a more energetic crowd whether that be friendly or against them. The silence at Tech wont be a great thing. Luckily its a saturday so that should help attendance a little bit (vs a weekday)
