Is this another "one and done" Kansas team?

Who knows. The one thing I know is that I hate Kansas. I hate Bill Self. I am glad these games are done.

I hate Kansas and Bill self and thats why i LOVE these games! Losing sucks, but id much rather watch a game at the phog than one at oklahoma with 2 dozen fans in the seats.

Except the entire starting 5 of the Kentucky team that won it all a few yes ago were all drafted in the first rd. 1st time ever I believe.

Only 4 of them went in the 1st round from Kentucky. Davis, Gilchrist, Jones and Teague. Doron Lamb went to Milwaukee Bucks in the 2nd. Still that is amazing and I forgot that was the 2012 NBA draft the same year all the North Carolina guys went.

Today's game should be interesting for KU. First time they've really played a front line that can pound the glass and give Embiid some trouble since maybe SDSU. I know KU is passing the eye test against ISU, but I think they'll look different against teams with more height and athleticism up front. Teams that aren't coached by Scott Drew.

I think KU team is more like the UK team that had John Wall, Bledsoe, Patrick Peterson, and Cousins than their NC team. KU does have a better coach though.

I think they win the national title. I think by end of year they will be as dominant as Kentucky was a couple years ago.

I would agree if they can just stay consistent and be playing this well come tourny time I don't see anybody touching them. Off topic but looking forward to seeing Syracuse and Duke play this afternoon in the Carrier Dome. I'm thinking the Rat might give the Orange their first loss. That Kentucky team a couple years ago was packed with NBA talent. 4 guys going 1st round and 1 going 2nd round. The Kansas team this year has 4 guys going 1st round.

If Tharpe plays like he did last night, they are pretty much unstoppable. He's the key to their success.

He doesn't look so good when teams can play him straight up.

Overall, they have the best talent in the country, but their guards are not that strong. How far they go depends on match-ups. Their loss at home to SDST wasn't a fluke. I also think that a good outside shooting team who gets hot could take them out. Now if Wiggins blows up at the end of the year, it might not matter who they play.

Wow Kansas getting blasted right now by Texas. Crazy Big 12 wouldn't of thought Kansas would of taken a blow like this after last weeks performance.

Gossip behind the scenes is that you are spot-on with you comment. Self fears Hoiberg the most and is trying his best to keep ISU from establishing something special. You think they didn't circle the game? Look how flat they are today.

It's been ten years since a non-Kansas team has even made it to a Final Four. Let's talk about who is really embarrassing who here.
Shouldn't you guys be on probation again already? Or are you stacking the NCAA compliance office with more alumni? How many times has ku failed to earn their seed?

Like I said ... The Texas game proves just how teams can punish KU. Love it. KU will be lucky to make it through game 2 in March.

LOL this is really funny to me considering KU lost to a team on the road that is 2nd in the Big 12 right now. KU still will likely end up 16-2 or 17-1 in the Big 12.

I would somewhat agree with this as reality. Probably most coaches in the Big 12 feel this way, imo. We were the doormat of the conference a few short years ago, Fred has come in and turned that around quickly. I'm sure most see the writing on the wall, if he stays here, he can build something special. I'm not saying we aren't the only team, but I'm sure we are one, at the top of KUs list to not look past.

It does make a lot of sense ... given how much Fred has already done without hitting full stride in recruiting. Good days are ahead.

This. It's only a matter of time until The Mayor is recruiting toe-to-toe with the best of them and gaining the caliber of players out if high school that puts us I to contention year in and year out.
