Yeah, we gotta get this running issue corrected. Have a stable of nice backs, but are average at best moving the ball on the ground.

i know they have beat crap teams but watching them today i think they are the better team. i HATE saying that but i think they are coached better and more disciplined. we CANNOT make stupid personal fouls and other mistakes. the QB (not Christiansen) for iowa looks amazing

You're nuts. Any Div I QB would look amazing against Maine and FIU. Hell, Christensen looked amazing last year against Syracuse the week before he looked like himself against ISU.

Once A-Rob is back we will be fine. I bet Bo was just hoping Chiz would call his name. We could have used him tonight.

My 2 cents.

Defensive line is not good. Too many rushing yards, but also only a couple of sacks and a couple of hurries on qb. Need a better rush on qb. Gave up too many big plays, both in pass plays and runs.

Not sure what is wrong with running game. (No tv) Seems we run up the middle a lot. Maybe our backs are too slow to get to the outside? Or is our line that bad? Won't run up the middle against Iowa from what I have seen of them so far. That is a concern.

Passing game seems adequate.

Kicking game was good. Surprised at 48 yarder. When was last time ISU kicked one from there? Or am I forgetting. Punter landed 3 of 4 inside the 20. That's great.

Special teams were great. Kickoff returns....averaged almost 30 yards per return. That's good anywhere. Johnson will break one before too long.

Iowa will be tough. Our lines versus theirs scares me a little. But, Bates can absolutely drive them nuts. That Iowa line doesn't like a quarterback who runs around.

Biggest problem is the game is in Iowa City. First road game. Not good, but you never know right?

Ok. I'm done.

Do not forget about Iowa's first game this year where Maine was able to run between the Tackles fairly well. This game for them was not as much of a test as last week for them. (Well neither were really a test.)

yes but iowa has a better coaching staff and alot of talent on defense... we have too many question marks.

Based on what...the MySpace reports?

Ignoring Iowa for a second.

Our team continues to improve, good job by coaches.

Our pass defense is far better than last year, only allowing 55.9% completion on the year so far.

In 2 games, we have gotten a total of 10 turnovers. I understand one or two came from special teams tonight - but still - defense is getting us a lot of balls.

I think Iowa and ISU are very evenly matched, should be a great game.

this may be the best cyhawk game ever... i just worry about our play calling. if we call the same plays we have the last 2 games, then we could be in trouble. iowa has 2 of the most underrated DEs in the nation. they will come after our QBs so we gotta use that to our advantage. we should throw more screens. watching iowa today, that's the only flaw i could find was defending the screen

BTW...great to hear Chris Brown's name called. He got that final fumble to basically end KSU's chances tonight. Love me some Chris Brown.

+1. I didn't want to respond to him, I would have said some nasty things. But this is basically what I think as well. Should be an exciting back and fourth game next week. The winner should be determined by the turnover battle.

LMAO!

They played FIU...not FSU. Seriously dude, I hope Iowa and all of their fans are believing what you are based on playing 2 very inferior opponents. Will make beating them much easier and a lot more fun.

How can you say they have looked better than us? They have played a Div. 2 school and one of the worse schools in Division 1. Seriously, I can't wait to put a whooping on U of Thug.

they have played 2 crap teams, but they havent made a single mistake (not counting jake christiansen... he doesnt count because mistakes are what he is best at)... i think we can take them but we gotta cut the mistakes. the personal fouls and avoidable penalties. cannot have any of that

Read your posts. You are giving some mad love to Iowa. Even more than what I read from some Hawk fans.

It's great you're not being a Cyclone homer. But this infatuation with Iowa and "how good they are" based on playing Maine and FIU is crazy.
