I'm just glad that Iowa State showed that they can actually put some points up on the board. That seems to have been a problem for us over the past couple years. Sure, we didn't have the best game, but at least we put up a good amount of points.

"We were very sloppy on defense tonight," ISU head coach Gene Chizik said. "The silver lining is that we are creating turnovers. We are very opportunistic when it comes to that. What I am proud of is that the kids keep playing. They know bad things are going to happen. They keep coming back, stripping the ball, and creating turnovers. When you add that up over two weeks, you are getting the ball to your offense 10 times."

when i keep talking about play callin, i mean giving scales the ball and not passing. arnaud looked amazing! i wanna see more passing

Yeah, Chizik is pretty stuck on the run, which isn't a bad thing. It opens up a lot of options for you when you can run the ball. But at the same time, you've gotta play to your strengths. I hope to see a lot of passing next week, or a lot of A-Rob.

Chill, it's a simple question. Mayhaps the game was on TV and the rest of Cyclone nation, except you, wasn't aware.

Ya came in here making absolute claims based on what you read or whatever...without actually seeing anything. Expect it to be questioned.

PS. I don't do small favors.

Back to the Iowa State game, again...

22, I think he was in the game thread with us. We heard a lot of Arnaud tonight, but not a lot of Sedrick Johnson.

As for Demoncore, lighten up.

Whitver on ISU defense next week . . .

Jack Whitver on radio now says ISU defense will alter its style next week likely.

More of a three-man line playing containment on Edleman tonight, more regular defense next week for Iowa qbs who aren't nearly as mobile as Edelman. Probably go after eiu qbs more.

FWIW. . . .

This thread is...well, hilarious is one way to put it. STOP TAKING EACH OTHER SO SERIOUSLY! :biglaugh:

Thought it was funny someone said we had no pass rush--when the announcer were talking about Edelman running for his life--and being "uncatchable". Fortunately, that doesn't describe either of Iowa's quarterbacks. Or most in the Big XII, for that matter.

We have a very young team. We were playing without two starters (Alexander and Devin, IIRC). we might have been looking past to Iowa. Even if not, this team will be more focused next week.

In the meantime, they make mistakes. And do very, very special things.

G'night, all. I'm taking my credits and running--and looking forward to hearing from ajk4st8.

Not upset at all. Having a beer, enjoying a 2-0 Cyclone start.

Just questioning your baseless claims is all. Especially claims showing a ton of love toward Iowa, a team in which we did not play today.

iowa's starter can run actually... i know a negative comment is coming from a certain douche, but it is true... i forget the guy's name but he can scramble. not like arnaud or bates, but he can run a little bit.

Right on.

We had this guy dead in the water a few times from what I heard on the radio and he made some plays. No way Iowa's QBs can make those types of plays.
