this is not ISU related, but new mexico had the lowest attendance for a game in over 10 years today... they were charging $50 for crappy seats just cuz it was against a big 12 team. the students here who get in free, rarely go. we have horrible student attendance here. i'm not a huge fan of new mexico, but since i live here i might as well watch them play

i will lighten up when the douche stops running his mouth... he/she/it is upset because i was saying iowa has a good team, which they do..... as do we

When Iowa actually gets around to putting 20 points on someone that's better than the #119 rated team in FBS (and keep in mind there are only 119 teams in FBS) or one of the worst FCS teams, I might get a little more worried about Iowa. Am I concerned? Yes - I'm concerned about any opponent we might play, even if we're favored to win the north. But worried? No.

I saw the first half of the FIU-Iowa game - FIU's THAT BAD. Of course Stanzi looked like a genius tonight - I'd say that the majority of Iowa's completions there wasn't a FIU player within 5 yards of the Iowa receiver. That's ****-poor defense. Both SDSU or KSU would rip FIU a new one if they had a shot at them.

you're dumb... i HATE iowa... all i am saying is that they have a good team. i wish they didnt but they do

Their record last year against quality opponents did not look that good and they haven't played anybody good yet this year. Can't say as I would call them good yet.

We're in the same boat for that matter. That much is true.

Careful - you're making too much sense!

Thanks for the link on the attendance. I'd think we should have a near sellout for our next home game should we win the next 2.

This thread should be deleted...or changed to ISU / Iowa pre-game. Come on people, enjoy the win! We were 0-2 at this point last year. No, it wasn't pretty, but for the first time in YEARS we win with special teams...

I haven't read any of the threads yet (including this one), but as somebody that was at the game, we need to work on a lot of things to be ready for future oponents. Of course we're incredibly young, and the wins are great, but we really need to work on the ground game and both rush & pass defense. Our special teams looked amazing compared to pretty much any point over the past decade, but we need to continue to get stronger and faster - not to mention learn to tackle. There was one play where I counted at least 5-6 missed tackles - the play where the K.S. QB scrambled for 20-30 yards (don't remember what the gain was).

Well put. Offense looked bad tonight. Defense looked ok at times... except tackling. Special teams were great.. won the game for us.

Not exactly looking forward to us trying to defend/run against Iowa.

at least iowa kicked a bunch of their best players off the team! their RB is a big dude who can break tackles. i think we can shut him down IF we dont miss tackles. after giving it some thought, i dont blame our D for missing tackles... well, yeah i do, but jarvis is one of the best RBs in the country. he is very underrated.

Very disappointed in our ability to run the ball/stop the run all year long.

Hopefully with time some young guys in the trenches will put it together and another offseason or two will help us grow up some.
