Somehow I was lucky enough to get a field pass/suite for this game. After being on the sideline for the whole first half we decided to go up to the suite for the second half. When ISU tied the game in the 4th quarter we ran back down to the field and was down there for the rest of the game. We were in the endzone for the overtime and I was the 2nd person onto the field after we scored the game winning TD. I felt like I was the only person to tackle Woody on that drive! Many tears were shed that night!

I was at the game and by the time I got back home that night I was still so wound up that I couldn't imagine falling asleep and spent a couple hours online reading through all the articles, message boards, facebook, etc. talking about it. Between this game and the OT thriller against Iowa is probably was the most entertaining FB season at JT that I have witnessed.

Can someone post a link of that gameday thread? Rep will be served!

My story. Worked til 5 and was headed up from Wdm to go to the game. Just out of Wdm I for some reason turn West to head back to my hometown due to a wedding the next morning a couple hours away. Worst decision of my life. Pretty sure my parents think I was on drugs with how crazy I was going during that game.

During the interception in 2nd OT I jumped from the couch and knocked some stuff off our wall.

It was a blur. I just remember tossing my half full beer down a couple rows and running to the field as my buddies and I passed a bottle of schnapps around.

But there was pure enjoyment.

my daughter was born 2 hours prior to kickoff (so I missed this one from my seats at JTS) but as woody scored, it was pretty late, with mom and baby sleeping in the hospital room. I'm silently screaming on the pull out couch, pumping my feet and arms in the air. I left the room to get something to drink, and found a couple other ISU fan dads to high five.

My teenage daughter and I were on the field (OSU side) right at the corner of the endzone next to an ESPN cameraman. Of course, we rushed right out onto the field, but then recognized that we were also in the middle of the Oklahoma State players leaving the field. I grabbed her and pulled her away because I was afraid that they might run us over and "give us the business." Then, we resumed our celebration.

I had been dating a girl for a couple months at the time and I had somehow convinced her to let me watch the game at her place that night. I am pretty sure that she really had to reconsider what she was doing with me when Woody ran it in.

I was in row 20+ in the student section. Once I saw Woody dash down to the 3 yd line I grabbed my friends(hawkeye fans) that were in town for the game and drug them down within 10 rows cause I was preparing for the insanity to begin. We got down there and all I could hear was the buzz of the stadium, it was an electric atmosphere that I can never forget. Once woody got the td, I immediately began to get pushed and shoved down to the end of the stands while nailing my shins on each and every bleacher. It was all worth the pain though. I made it over the wall and sprinted toward the crowd. Lost my friends, but found them after, glad they got to experience it; unfortunately they are still hawk fans...

I went to jail :(
My highest high and my lowest low, a mere two hours apart.

You aren't my roommate, are you?

If you are, you passed out in a bulldozer in the construction zone outside of Jack Trice. I never should have let you go to the bathroom in the 2nd quarter by yourself.

I was in the stands with a friend I brought to the game and my 8 year old Son. He still talks about that game. I will always remember it as one of the best father son moments of my life.

I took that same friend to the Iowa game last year also. So he got to see the 2 best games in years.

I was with my buddies in the student section as usual, we were about 15 rows from the field, in pretty damn good seats. We were expecting to get smoked, but I was surprised we hung with them as well as we did in the first half. Then when Okie State scored to go up 24-7, some of my friends lost hope. My roommate actually left so he could go start partying. We convinced another one of our friends to stay was considering leaving to go home for Thanksgiving break. I was expecting the game to go downhill from there. I have seen a lot of Iowa State football games against good teams go well for a quarter or two and then just collapse into a blowout. Then comeback and insanity ensued. I can't remember ever go as crazy as I did when we tied the game with Gary's TD catch. I was hugging people I didn't even know. In OT, soon as Benton made his pick, the entire student section started pushing forward to the field. Woody scored. Chaos. I didn't find one of my friends on the field. I was giving high fives to everyone in sight. The one person I did find was my cousin who is a drum major in the marching band.

He is the one on the ladder. After about an hour on the field, I headed back to my dorm and proceeded to get slamburgered. Some of my friends stayed and tailgated afterwards, and one of my friends' cousins busted out a bottle of champagne for the occasion. The most gratifying feeling about the whole thing was that my phone was blowing up all game long. I went to high school in Minnesota and proudly wore my cardinal and gold at school. People were confused as why I was such a big supporter of a school that most people don't even realize shares a conference with schools like Texas and Oklahoma. I received countless texts from people asking if I was at the game and that they were pulling for the Cyclones. Still to this day, people ask me if I was there when they learn that I go to ISU. Everybody knows about Iowa State now. It was a perfect night to be a cyclone and one that was long awaited for.

It was clearly the biggest upset of the year.

I was at the 4-A state championship game at the UNIdome. Me and a couple other clone fans were following the game on a buddy's phone. As soon as I got done with the game (which VHS won!), we were driving to MC to visit my grandma and Walters wasnt coming in real good on the radio so I was following it on my moms smartphone and the radio. ESPN has Lenz on their mobile headline. Many times I thought we would lose it. Bentons INT got me excited but being an ISU fan I was cautious because I'm used to us throwing these away. When we got it to the 3 I knew we would do it and when woody scored I went nuts, nearly hit my head on the roof of the car. One of the best nights ever.
