They definitely seem to always have more energy for this game than we do under Rhoads. Just watch them on the sideline and pregame on Saturday, they'll be jumping up and down and we approach it like just another non conference game. We will have the edge in talent this season but we're going to have to match Iowa's intensity to win and I don't see it happening.

In Rhoads defense, he has managed to do better at getting the team excited for this lose-lose game than in his first two years. Have you seen a Rhoads tearfest after an Iowa game? And he ******* bawls after every win like his job depends on it. Of course, I doubt guys like Mangino and Wally really care like KF's kid.

I am worried that Rhoads will not have the guys as equally motivated and I doubt we spent the off-season focused on this game like KF tends to do.

I heard that they piped in the Hawkeye fight song during practices, painted all the walls pink, and taped Ashton Kutcher's face everywhere.

Don't let the sidelines fool you. KF is the best at coaching his kids to do in-game calisthenics, but it has no impact on the games.

Hoks are also great at other meaningless activities like holding hands while taking the field and doing the Hokey Pokey after they score.

Your act has gotten old.

It's not an act, it's actually true now. It used to not be that way but the facts are there this is Iowa's game they care the most about. Posters up in the football facilities, moving trophies, playing ISU's fight song all week. They've never done that for Nebraska, Wisconsin, Minnesota, or anyone else

Show me a link that isn't years old that Iowa is even doing that this week. Because you've been saying the same thing over and over, but that was several years ago. Show me something this week.

I don't think Iowa wins by 3 TD's but I do think they win. They've been prepping for this game since the Spring
One thing that has me confident is that any All Americans they have that are injured will be playing. That will help us. They want to have their best players play injured and risk their entire careers in order to beat us.

Iowa playing ISU fight song in locker room this wk. Drew Ott says: “It’s pretty annoying. It’s not a very catchy fight song in my opinion.”

Where are the posters?

ISU puts Iowa jerseys on their tackling dummy's. In the conjoined pod, Gabe Glen said ISU is always amped up for this game much more than Iowa and that we go through the motions and CW agreed.
Then CW went on to talk about he doesn't believe it should be referred to ISU's super bowl but you could make that claim during McCarney's era.
Well, if Rhoads hadn't won last year his only win would have been Toledo, he def. would have been canned.

No, that's ISU
That's you guys again
Iowa def. has the edge in talent - ISU's only advantage has been in their effort. This year we have a QB and no longer a fullback playing the RB position, so it's not going to matter.

Music is even worse than the posters. I'd be embarrassed if ISU did something like that but I guess that's just because we're the flagship program in the state so I have higher standards for us

Article from last year talked about posters in the present tense:

I think the fact Iowa puts all their focus on trying to beat ISU in football speaks more than anything else.

I guess that's why we continually win more games before and after this one game than ISU does... You make zero sense. Even Pollard made a statement about UI and not being little brother during the opening of the SEZ. Does that happen in IC? Resound no. ISU is always thinking of Iowa and comparing themselves to Iowa.

Why would ISU compare themselves to their little brother? Especially since we're better than them in athletics and are a bigger school than them
