Here too. And ours are brand new this springIts so cold, we have ice on the inside of our North windows.
so sad that it's kinda funny.
This house is new to us this year, first winter here. The windows were new 2020. I think a majority of the problem is that this house has a built in humidity thing on the furnace, I had it too high for how cold it is. I turned it down this morning and its getting better. Here too. And ours are brand new this spring![]()

We haven’t had it in 2 days in Waukee either and that’s in town and with only 2 inches of snow.So cold rural mail delivery hasn't carried mail for 2 days, Roads in SW Iowa are clear of any drifts, and gravel roads are clear.
Well we knew they weren’t where someone else’s tonsils used to be.It is so cold my nuts are where my tonsils used to be.
The word factoid is often misused to imply it is a little known/obscure fact. A factoid, however, is something that sounds factual but is actually not. Are these facts or factoids?Frigid Factoids
- Seawater freezes at 29°F.
- Because mercury freezes at –38°F, alcohol is used in thermometers in colder zones. It freezes at –173°F.
- Fifty to 70 percent of body heat is lost through the top of your head, but only if the rest of your body is covered up.
Did not know that about the term factoid. I'd say #1 and 2 are facts, #3 prolly a factoid. The word factoid is often misused to imply it is a little known/obscure fact. A factoid, however, is something that sounds factual but is actually not. Are these facts or factoids?
