Will Park have 3 years of eligibility?

Yep. 5 years to play 4. Class of '14 from HS. Lanning was class of '13. Lanning has 2 years left as a RS JR.

Park was at Georgia one year, had one year off, and now comes in as a RS SO with 3 years to play.

I would note that Kempt was NOT offered a scholarship after attending Hutchinson JC. Oregon State sucked even more than us.

The offense was more run oriented so I don't know how you would come to the conclusion that offensive numbers dropped. Mike Warren's offensive numbers went way up.

JMO, but I actually some spark in the team and we were in a position to win several games that I doubt we would have had a chance in with Sam.

total offense, points per game, etc. That is how come to the conclusion that offensive numbers dropped. They are pretty easy to look at. I pulled out the Baylor game because thye both played and I didn't have time to break the game in half. Obviously Lanning had the better day there.

PPG
22.4 under Lanning.
26.8 under Richardson.

Yards per game
Richardson-428
Lanning-388

Yards per play
Richardson-5.81
Lanning-5.24

Rushing game got a little better but like you said... more focus on the rushing game but Warren's numbers went down with Lanning
4.24 YPC and 170 YPG under Richardson (Warren had 6.0YPC)
4.32 and 186 YPG under Lanning (Warren had 4.98 YPC)

Lanning did face OU and WV which were damn tough defenses.

Obviously, Lanning has some intangibles and lit a spark, it was his first five starts and it was a little different offense with Sturdy. But in the end, not much difference from an offensive output. And people started to learn what he could or couldn't do.

If you want to win in the Big 12, you need to score 29 PPG or more. Only two teams in the last five years have scored less than 29 PPG and had a winning record in the Big 12. Points matter.

Like I said, I hope like hell he can become a more consistent passer. We could be KSU and power run throw over the top but Lanning hs to keep defenses honest with the passing game.

Yikes, that's some sobering numbers. Although you could argue that SR had "easier" slate of games and they threw more with SR. But I noticed the same things that SR did also plagued Lanning. JL was sacked quite a bit. And our OL is probably going to be worse than last year.

Richardson played against UNI and Kansas. And arguably played against the weakest part of our schedule.

If not for CPR blunders, Lanning would have more career Big 12 victories than Sam Richardson. And would have a 3-2 record in Big 12 games.

I hope Noland doesn't see the field this year for the sake of his eligibility. You could have Lanning, Park, and Kempt/DeLira that should see game action before him burning up a RS year.
