Yet. Normally the schools in Iowa offer Iowa kids before other schools know who to go after in Iowa. There's so many guys every year who don't even get offers until during or after their senior years of HS before blowing up.

That would be a top 5 time for this years linebacker class at the combine. I tend to not pay attention to high school kids 40 times. I'm just not seeing it on film.

Paul Rhoads helped build a lot of those facilities with his success in the first 3-4 years. He still has one of the best if not THE best 4 year run on school history. I would hope fans would be somewhat greatful for that.

Just to be clear I'd like to know how much credit The Chiz gets for recruiting all those players for Paul?

I can't get excited for the ranking because so much is based on sheer numbers. The ranking is completely overplayed at the moment.

That said, I CAN get excited about the quality of players that are committing and that they ARE first targets. Man, if we can somehow get to a bowl game this season...

I also agree that comparing to CPR is already old. Turn the page people.

Agree on the current ranking. However I look at it like a GPA. Easier to keep it high once it's there than to bring it back up after you've tanked it. Plus it's something they can sell on the trail to other guys.

It's unbelievable how much better at just about everything this staff is than Paul's. I understand they haven't won any games yet, but Paul's barely did anyway.

It's great as others have pointed out, having some football news from Feb-July. This staff simply kicks butt. They're all on the same page and are fearless.

....And not using the excuse that we can't recruit in Big Ten country. The new staff is blowing that perception apart

Always good to grab a central Iowa guy, especially with ISU ties. He's a wait and see guy, IMO. Doesn't jump out on video and Dowling and Valley guys haven't translated to Big 12 talent in the past. Hopefully he's more Jake Knott and less Trent Flander.

Exactly...I loved Walden but people would incessantly bag on him, he was/is a really nice guy! Paul deserves the criticism, he gets no pass. The facilities we have should do 70% of the work for a staff...Walden had an empty shoebox and a University President who couldn't see what value a good football program adds to a University's overall optics. Now if they'd just get with it and start selling beer to the general admission people it would be great! #AstormisBREWING ;-)

Walden was nice and if you closely into the eyes on my picture you'll see he was hella dreamy too
