i'm upset that he is gone, but you guys that are losing sleep and crying over this need to, um, get a hobby?
The problem is your self absorbed, so assume everyone else is moved by this because of their own self absorbed reason. Sucks for you.

To anyone outside of the ISU fanbase, this injury is a "yeah that's no fun, hope he gets better soon" moment. To CyclONE Nation, this is a "there goes one of the most gutsy, physical, hardcore players this team has ever had" moment. Sure, this will pass, but for now it's difficult because it's not the way he wanted to go out and it's not the way we wanted him to go out. He is a great person who is going to go far in whatever he does in the future. I wish nothing but the best for him and look forward to watching him in the NFL.

THANK YOU JK20!

So he's rumored to have had torn ligaments and a separated shoulder? And he played basically every snap of the Baylor game without so much as an Advil to ease the pain? WOW.

Most of us wouldn't think of going to the game without a few beers. He plays injured without even ibuprofen. Wow, indeed!

What "a"box?
Try a whole box?
How about instead of a stadium Eastside ....Westside...."Cyclone .......... Power" cheer, we do a
stadium Eastside ... Westside ....."Jake...... Knott" cheer.
Just gotta love that young man.
Thanks Jake for going "All Out" for ISU, hats off to you and AJ Klein for re-building the ISU program.

Go Cyclones!

I like "Jake Knott" (eastside), "Pow-er" (westside) to the cadence of Cyclone Power. In this way, the student section can start it without the westside having to do anything different than usual.

Best line was when he was asked about his role with the team would be. "I will be the assistant assistant LB coach . . . even get water bottles for guys." That is All In!

Tough to watch that. He's been such a huge part of bringing ISU up several levels over the past four years.

Jake Knott is to ISU as Bob Sanders was to Iowa.

I really believe that. When people look back and ask who the individual player most responsible for bringing back ISU football, Jake Knott will be the answer at least 90% of the time.

Bob Sanders minus the cheap shots, head hunting and trash talking, plus high character. Poor comparison actually.

Edit: I'll retract what I previously had in this post. I have no intention of derailing this thread.

Just know I was merely referring to the impact both players had for their respective programs. Sanders was the biggest reason for Iowa's resurgence in the early part of the decade. Knott is the biggest reason for ISU's rise over the past 4 years.

I know what you meant by your post. Not only the bold part but the fact that both put their bodies through hell to play the game they love.
