In Jamie’s words, it’s not the player’s fault the game was cancelled.

Taking them literally, they did say that they were suspended “for the first game”. That was the first game.

What I find more interesting is that it seems to apply to the four “indefinite” suspensions as well.

On the suspended players, Jamie was just putting the AD's and the school's opinion out there. The suspensions were served as far as those entities go. If Campbell feels strongly enough about it, he can sit whoever he wants.

Not sure why nobody seems to care but I absolutely think we should get a ticket refund for a cancelled game even if the reason is legit.
Because most of us aren’t that petty and understand “acts of God” happen sometimes?
By your logic every hotel in town would need to refund rooms. Airlines would have to refund flights. Cyclone Liquor would be bankrupt after just the Natty Light refunds alone. Ames and ISU would economically collapse and we’d have to drop wrestling and join the Mountain West. Think you can suck it up and just eat the ticket price there big guy?

Your first mistake in this post is caring what Iowa fans think. If it's not suspended players playing they'd find some other reason to excuse a loss to us.

Yep. They are already saying it's unfair Iowa won't have any tape on ISU. The news anchor on channel 2 in CR last night even said that! She said ISU shouldn't be allowed to see any game tape of the Iowa game yesterday. And she's the NEWS anchor, not even the sports director. You can't make this stuff up.

Plus, ISU was going to go vanilla last night as long as they were ahead. It wouldn't have shown Iowa hardly anything anyway. ISU is at a big disadvantage in that next week will now be their first game of the season.

The very first sentence you quoted were the operative words.

If we booked a hotel and it burned down before we could stay at it I would expect a refund. Don't understand the liquor store analogy whatsoever. If you buy tickets to a baseball game and it rains out (an act of God) you get the option to go to another game. If you buy tickets for example to an NBA playoff game and it doesn't take place you get credit for a future game. Not sure why football fans don't expect the same kind of policies.

If Jamie and ISU would just pay the money to add a retractable roof over JTS we wouldn’t even have this issue! Am I doing the irrational solution thing correctly? Seriously it was a thunderstorm that normally would pass but it didn’t happen this time.

What MLB team allows you to pick another game? You get to go to the rescheduled game.

I seriously can not understand how people don't get that, postponing a game to the next day almost never happens in FBS, especially in today's game. I do not know if I have heard of it happening in an FBS game in any recent modern era game. There are just way too many variables and moving parts that all have to align for it to work, and it is almost impossible to get that to happen,

Not saying this is what we should have done.
A&T's football game at East Carolina postponed until 3:30 p.m. Sunday

You’re thinking too small. We’re an engineering school, why haven’t we developed a machine that can control the weather!?!?!

Yeah, the way I read it, Jamie was saying from a procedural and admin standpoint, they’ve been completed, but ultimately Campbell has the final say on it.

Not all the time. We had tickets to a game the last weekend of the season that was cancelled and made up the next day as part of a double header. Those who had tickets for the next day got to see two for the price on one. We had the option to get free tickets to any game the next season. There was no option for a refund.

What are you talking about with the NBA game? Baseball is a little different than football. Considering how many home games there are for baseball and only 6 maybe 7 home games for college football.
