If they grew up Hawkeye fans, I could see them going there versus going to ISU. Growing up as an ISU fan, I could have NEVER went to Iowa.

However... if Scheel ends up getting an offer from someone like Oregon, that's where I think he'd be completely NUTS to still go to Iowa. Unless he's just too concerned about getting homesick or something? He'd be amazing at Oregon IMO. At Iowa, he could easily end up being just another Keenan Davis.

I think thats presumptuous. Oregon could be getting butt ****ed by the NCAA any second, and who knows if they'll be worth a damn w/out Chip.

too bad, kid was a stud in high school.

Yes he was. And in my experience a great kid. There are a lot of variables in recruiting, but injuries some times trump all. Feel very bad for him.

I guess I never realized he was hurt. Too bad, and you hate to see a kid's career end like this, but I'm always glad to see kids who are forwarding thinking enough to not push their bodies past the point of no return.

Yep and there are certainly a lot worse things in the world than getting a free college education at a state university.

He absolutely was. I coached against him when he was a Freshman. They had him on the Sophomore/JV team at Union. You could tell right away he was going to do special things.
