You do know that the Vikings got Jennings? While I think Jordy Nelson is good, I dont think the Packers have the best WR's...Id probably give the edge to the Lions.
Jennings may not look as good now that he will be on the receiving end of passes from Ponder.

Here's a fun stat from last year.
For the season, Minnesota had 8 receiving TD's made by wide receivers
Detroit had 15
Chicago had 17
Green Bay had 35

Green bay has the best wideouts in the North. It's not even close.

They also have arguably the best QB. Put Rodgers on the Lions, and Stafford on the Packers, and I bet the Lions have the edge.

Well I hope he makes the team because if he does I'm gettng his jersey. Bears WR's have been plagued by injuries lately. Bennett is good, but hasn't played nearly a whole season lately, Alshon Jeffrey was looking promising too, but also went down last year. After the top three of Marshall, Bennett, Jeffrey, it's a free for all I think, but there are 12 WR's on the roster right now, so there' a lot of competition.

You make a compelling argument. But stats don't lie. Those receivers still have to catch the ball and run after the catch. Rodgers just makes it easier for them. I'm sure he would make the Lions receivers better as well. Peyton is another QB that you see this happen all the time with. Brandon Stokley comes to mind. When he was with Peyton, Peyton made him better, as soon as he was with another QB he wasn't as good. Jevon Walker - once he left the Packers he didn't contribute on the Broncos at all. So yes, it can be the system that makes the player better. But, it is stated as a whole, which team has the best core. Stats say Packers.

yes, Rodgers is better than the other guys, but look at the disparity. Is he that much better? The Packers have more than double the number of WR TDs than the next best team. Certainly Rodgers accounts for some of that, but that's a giant difference. (uggh, I feel dirty arguing for Green Bay)

How did this devolve into a "how great is Aaron Rodgers?" thread?

Lenz could make the team on Special Teams and maybe be a backup slot receiver. We know he has wheels. Would not be a bad thing for him to get Coached up on the practice squad for a year either.

I think Rodgers is overhyped and Packers receiving corps underhyped. Who was their backup who played a game, had fabulous numbers, and then a big contract from someone, maybe the Seahawks? Lots of qbs in the league would have better numbers if you stuck them in the Packers offense.

The Bears have needed more depth in their receiving corps as long as I can remember. Difference between them and Packers seems that if you shut down the Bears best receiver, the others aren't reliable whereas someone like Jordy Nelson put up huge numbers as another option from as premier receiver. Maybe Lenz can be an additional threat?

Matt Flynn, who then got beat out in training camp by Russell Wilson

Russell Wilson has wheels and is accurate as a passer. No surprise.

I think it is interesting how close Josh's Dubuque family is to Chicago. Hope it works.
Funny thing is that Seattle gave him a starting QB sized contract. Based off that one game performance in week 17 the year before.

Ha! That probably why I'm trying to make an arguments against them. You are probably right, but I just feel a Rodgers to Megatron combo would dominant. I think you put Rodgers on any of those teams, and their receiving corp is much better. Not sure if it could make up the discrepancy, but I think the playing field would appear more even (except he would probably blow out an ACL behind the Bears line).

Screw Rodgers, this is about Lenz.
When Tom Waddle came to the Bears no one gave him a chance either and he became the go to 3rd down receiver. Cutler likes guys that run exact routes and he can count on. Josh will succeed if given a chance.
Oh, and Rodgers is a tool as he never honors his bets.

You honestly think that Rodgers was gonna pay some random guy on twitter his entire salary?

You are a tool for actually believing someone would pay that much in a bet...

You could start a thread about brats, and it would turn into Aaron Rodgers eats more brats than your QB. Then, Bears fans have no right to eat brats. Green Bay has the best brats yada yada yada.

Yeah guys, people standing up for their friends who have no idea that they lied to their face multiple times are tools. Packers/Brewers fan (from WI, not bandwagon) and I am ashamed of what happened and can never look at Braun the same. Eventually if he could show genuine remorse and prove that he is sorry for what he did I COULD forgive him but he has left a huge stain of the Brewers and baseball. I really find it surprisingon how many people are going after Rodgers when all he was doing was standing up for someone he considered a good friend and unfortunately lied to his face multiple times. Its unfortunate that Rodgers got caught up in this and I think it only reinforces how much of a snake Braun was throughout this entire ordeal. Not saying Rodgers is blameless but I'm curious why people are being so hostile toward him...

He's currently not with the first or second team, so hopefully he gets into the first preseason game and does something spectacular on offense or special teams! With 13 WR's on the roster, he needs to make an impression fast.
