I too like the first down chant alot. Who cares if its unoriginal, we all have fun doing it.

The one thing that annoys me from the pressbox that probably will not go away is every third down the pa announcer carrouses everybody, "its 3rd down, cyclone fans make some noise". Haaaa, I hate that. First of all we should make noise every down , not just third. And then the pa basically announces that we apparently need help being enthusiastic, and at the same time need help understanding that 3rd down is an important down.

Its just a small gripe, but to me really annoying. Anyone else?

I am getting a little tired of the "and that's another cylone........first down" call by the announcer. A few people around me were mentioning "busch league" about the first down screams. Act like we've been there before.

Every stadium in the country from college to professional has something they do during the game that gets the fans involved. Missouri has the announcer say MIZ and the fans yell ZOU. When I was at a Bears game every time there was a time out the announcer says "There's a time out...". The fans respond, "Where!?". The announcer then replies "...on the field" to which the fans reply in unison, "ohhhhhh..."

Are these things corny, maybe do they hurt anything, no and they get some of the crowd involved in the game.

I think we should make more noise on 3rd down, especially when we are on defense. It shouldn't be the same for every play or it really becomes part of the background rather than the foreground.

And while I would like to assume that this is common sense, it seems that somebody needs to help our fans know to not do a wave when we have the ball in an important third down situation.

JP, please address my pathetic...........pretzel. It did not have an adequate amount of salt on it, probably the worst pretzel of any Big 12, Big 10 or SEC game I've attended. I assume JP has direct control over the amount of salt on pretzels, right?

announcer at Jack Trice. The fans had no idea there were penalties, what they were, what was going on half of the time. Probably the worst call I've seen at any Big 12, Big 10, or SEC football game I've attended.

I agree 100% and was complaining about the same thing in another thread. So, it isn't his job to anounce penalties? Sorry, but if the refs mics are not working, he could step up and let everyone know what is going on in the game. After all, isn't that what he is suppose to be doing????

I would rather know what the heck is going on with the game than hear "It's another Cyclone First down'. That I can see, what I can't see is the officials signals from the upper deck.

It's a flipping football game. People want to have fun, be loud, stand up, be stupid.

Everything at the game was perfect almost on Thursday. Fan were loud in the first half. Students were rowdy. Team played good but have room to improve. The band sounded good.

Booo hooo people. Grow a pair. Next thing we will complain about is that people are actually showing up at games and it's too crowded to be there. Our fans are the the biggest cry babies on Earth.

I'm cold. It's crowded. People are standing. PA sucks. Sound system suck. My feet hurt. The band never plays new stuff. I need a bottle. We are worse then Hawk fans, Husker fans, and anyone else we make fun of.

I was more upset that the ketchup on my kids hot dog was more red than cardinal and the mustard was the wrong tint of gold. I just sent an email to JP to see if he could find some new ketchup and mustard at Hy-Vee.

Also forgot to add that the relish looked like it was Baylor green, can't the agronomy department develop a cardinal and gold cucumber to make relish for game days. You would think this should have been done years ago.

I sometimes think that some of you actually enjoy when ISU loses so you ACTUALLY have something to complain about... this thread is pretty nit picky. I guess I don't let this kind of stuff bother me at the game, these things just don't cross my mind while at a football game.
